Pick me a 3DS Launch Title!

Given knowledge of this, as well as the Metroid themed stage, and the fact that it's been upgraded to a USA Launch title, i've been quite drawn to Dead Or Alive Dimensions. However, i have my preorder on Pilotwings Resort.

Neither game has me 100% excited, however. Pilotwings looks greatly fun, but my fear is that it won't have enough meat, though that same fear holds true for Dimensions. Both franchises are new to me, and i'm trying to figure out which one would be more interesting and which one will last me longer

Again, a lot of this has to do with DoA's, "aesthetic" appeal, but i've picked games for stupider reasons in the past and prospered.

So i want to hear from people who have played both franchises to explain their specific appeal, or people who have played at least one of the two, to explain the learning curve on DoA or the mission appeal of Pilotwings (or could someone link me to some reviews of Resort?)

I have not played any of these games, but I personally preordered Pilotwings for the 3D. From what I've seen, Pilotwings is one of the first games where being able to see depth will make a significant impact on the gameplay.

I am more of a single-player type indeed. Moreso in this case because i'm pretty sure Dimensions lacks online (though i will be in Japan soon after i get 3DS, so i could get actual real people to play 3DS with)

Why not Ridge Racer 3D? Sure, it's got insane loading times (between eight and twelve seconds for a track), but it's still awesome.

I honestly never gave it any consideration. Could be worth a look.

I wonder when GameStop's setting up demo kiosks

If you are a person who cares about scores at all then PilotWings has almost infinite replayability. My father and I played the N64 version consistently for years.

How did you (plural) fare? I only got perfect scores on 28 of the 36 missions. Btw, the last hangglider photo mission is probably almost impossible.

It's been over a decade so I don't remember well, but I think we did all right. Some of those missions would just annihilate you, though, because the physics were so completely unrelenting and required such precision.

I hope Pilotwings Resort is even half as demanding.

Being Australian, we got screwed for the launch.. No Steel Diver OR Pilotwings Resort.. I want both of those, nothing else has realy grabbed me, therefore on day one, I'm going to buy Okamiden to play on my 3DS :)

I say screw both and get Street Fighter IV like the rest of us if not then Pilot Wings cause thats one of the next on my list.

MaxwellGT2000 - "Does the amount of times you beat it count towards how hardcore you are?"

Wii Friend Code - 5882 9717 7391 0918 (PM me if you add me), PSN - MaxwellGT2000, XBL - BlkKniteCecil, MaxwellGT2000

I would've voted none of the above but Pilotwings seems to be the best out of those three

Personally, I'm gonna get Nintendogs & Cats, then wait for the games I really want

EDIT: Now that I think about it, I think I'm just gonna hold off my purchase until Zelda OoT 3D comes out - I see no need to rush out atm - I'll keep busy with Pokemon B&W :)
