Damn freakin straight. The fact that it opened a million to a million and a half lower than H3, Reach, and GTA4 but is only marginally behind them now is absolutely incredible.

Pretending these sales don't exsist and waiting to predict doom and gloom for the next PS3 exclusive. After Heavy Rain and now this it must be getting tiresome.

Anyway I thought 7m before launch and now will now say approx. 9m when all is done and dusted.

I'm of the opinion that GT5 is being opened to a newer audience.  I can't help to think that a fair portion of the PS3 userbase bought a PS3 for primarily Blu-ray playback.  Then the games came next with GT5 being one of them.  If this is the case (which I'm sure in part), nice way to expand your userbase.
