very sad (so long pre-order) but honestly, who didn't expect to see this one coming from a mile away?

its not confirmed yet, right .... RIGHT?!? =[
It's looking like a holiday release, which implies TLG may be a Spring 2012 release:

Ueda, why you lyin? =(

not if they want to convert it using the Last Guardian engine....
...i can dream, can't i?
“It appeared that there had even been demonstrations to thank Big Brother for raising the chocolate ration to twenty grams a week. And only yesterday, he reflected, it had been announced that the ration was to be reduced to twenty grams a week. Was it possible that they could swallow that, after only twenty-four hours? Yes, they swallowed it.”

thats a bit unfortunate. I havent played these and this board seems to talk them up, would be interesting to play.
I mean we just got sly collection in aus... why tf do we not get the same games as everyone else?

Ueda mentioned in an interview recently that they are completely redoing the opening scene of Ico, among other things, so it's apparent they're putting quite a bit more work into this collection than in the others. He also mentioned he'd like to include a demo for the Last Guardian on the disc if he can, and both of these things probably have a hand in any delays. Given he also insisted ("promised" I believe) that the Last Guardian will be coming out this year in that very same interview, I'm guessing a Summer release for the Collection, followed by a late holiday release for the Last Guardian. |
I thought the 'promise' only extend to Japan. I was fully expecting this game to be release next Feb / March in the west from the tid bit that I've read.

Well, it was just for Japan, but Shadow fo the Colossus was released in both North America and Japan simultaneously, and Ico was actually released in NA before Japan. You PAL guys usually get screwed though, yeah.
Hell, they can even get GT out simultaneously worldwide now, you'd think it'd be no problem for the Last Guardian.
But who knows, maybe I'm overreacting. Maybe it's like September for the Collection, followed by the Last Guardian in November or December.

We always get screwed, which is why I am extremely thankful that the PS3 is not region locked. Its one of the greatest thing Sony did this gen and worthy of commendation.
I hope this does get release this year but somehow I just FEEL that I'm gonna get screwed again and the only way for that to happen is a delayed western release.
