THQ has already revealed that its shooter Homefront is the most pre-ordered for the publisher with 200K copies pre-purchased. Core Games boss Danny Bilson has made it clear that he's prepared to compete with EA and Activision in the shooter market and he believes Homefront has the quality to do so. According to Lazard Capital Markets' Colin Sebastian, the title should get off to a solid start. "Next week’s launch of Homefront will mark an important milestone for software publisher THQ as it seeks to regain momentum in the core game market. We are modeling sell-in of roughly 1.5M units for Homefront this month," he said. Call of Duty: Black Ops took the industry by storm last fall/holiday and judging by what we saw at GDC last week, EA's Battlefield 3 looks stunning, so THQ will certainly have its hands full in competing with EA and Activision in the shooter genre. http://www.industrygamers.com/news/thq-to-ship-15-million-homefront-copies-this-month-says-analyst/
