
Was it really a surprise that the 3DS would do this?
OK, maybe some ignorant fanboys would have complained about it, and some may have complained about having their eyes bleed due to the 3D, but it looks like a high price tag here in the UK isn't putting consumers off...
"We're very encouraged that it's going to be a big launch," said UK sales director Andy Yates. "Our target was to get over 100,000 pre-orders -- and we're in line with that. So far, we've already beat our personal best for a console launch. With three weeks to go, we're in a great position, as pre-orders are still building. "Retailers tell us that things are good, and they're pretty relieved to have a big launch in March; they need something of that magnitude." Bolded area interests me, maybe sales director Andy Yates is admitting to a slowdown in console and games sales? Looks like the 3DS is coming out at the perfect time to reignite consumer interest... Maybe this points to Nintendo releasing a Wii2 some time soon? Anyway: Your reactions below
