But don't Christians beleive that being gay is a sin, and that gays will burn in hell? Aren't these people essentially just saying what Christians believe? Why does that make you uncomfortable?

Probably because imho, they are calling themselves a church inorder to spread their hate and to tarnish the Church. The Church itself wound never condon the level of extremeism that they pull off. I truly want to say its a cult with Jesus Christ as their symbol.

Their "hate". Is exactly what Christianity teaches. Again, why does that make Joel and you uncomfortable?

Because they're persecuting people who aren't even pretending to be Christian.

What does it matter. Does Christianity not claim that it's ther one true religion, and therefore everyone will be subjected to it's rules? Does it not claim that non-Christians will automatically burn in hell?

Yes, but gay pagans don't burn any more than hetero pagans. There's no point in going to homosexual people in particular (unless they are Christian because then you have the obligation to try to correct them).

But dont Christians have the obligation to "correct" all non-Chrsitians?

To a certain extent maybe. But not to go and judge a heathen for his homosexuality. You can judge them for their sinfulness in general, ie tell them they are on a lost path if they don't accept Christ.

do gay christians burn more than gay pagans?

Depends if he chooses to commit homosexual acts or not, and depends on his attitude to God and God's will. If he's just attracted to other persons of the same gender then that's not a big problem in itself.

Come on, in the end they're acting in accordance with their beliefs, and illustrating just what Christianity is all about.

No they're not. You have a poor understanding of Christianity.

I'm just going by what I'm observing in the typicall behaviour of Christians, and what the Christian teachigns say.

And yet no Christian here on VGC even remotely defends the actions of Westboro Church but we all condemn their behaviour. What does that tell you? Nothing?

Claiming "technically they are right, but they shouldn't say it so loud" isn't a particularly powerful condemnation of their actions. "Yes, gays will be punished by god for their wickedness, but so will lots of other people! You don't need to be rude about it." Does little to defend the system of beliefs.

You can find me on facebook as Markus Van Rijn, if you friend me just mention you're from VGchartz and who you are here.

It tells me that people like to ignore the truth (in this case the uglyness of their own beliefs).

They're going to eternal damnation for not believing in God, not for being gay.

That's a remarkable difference.

And what exactly is the "uglyness" of our beliefs (in the context of this particular thread and topic)?
