Forums - Sales - Microsoft Cuts Xbox 360 Price in Spain in Wake of PS3 Ban

It's not like the PS3 isn't available. And why Spain? Aren't they bigger markets in Europe (all of Europe even) that this would be better suited?

Then again, who am I to tell MS what to do?

Sony better get their asses in gear and get that ban lifted.

Spain is a predominantly Sony country.

Yep, smart move. I mean, they would have been the only HD console on the shelf anyways, so why not reduce your margins and profits while you have no HD competition.

Wow that's dirty.

Inline with possible Sony shortages.

Interesting.

Well, indeed, but honestly... I don't think it was a smart move by MS. If the PS3 has shortages it will likely be only for around one week. And a deal like that would have made more sense when there are no PS3 shortages IMO.

But anyway, I still think that this whole Sony/LG problem will already be solved this week...

2012 - Top 3 [so far]

                                                                             #1                                       #2                                      #3

Temporary sales are a good thing, they can get a boost in sales and then go back to the regular price after having tapped into the market of people who want one but just not at the current price.

Tease.

Geez, this is the second time I am agreeing with you...can't remember the first.

You seem to think that there are NO PS3s available. You may need to re-read ( if you even bothered to read it in the first place) the concept of the ban. The ban is on any imports to the EU, not on selling PS3s in the EU.

It has been clearly stated that they are enough playstaions to see them through for a couple weeks.
