Ah. That's why I've never heard of this. Makes more sense for the UK with the smaller population. Japan with its huge game market and the US with its larger population would make for a ton of free Wii points.

Well in that case, who cares if Nintendo is "taking the piss" or whatever with the UK...you guys are the only ones who get those VIP points. 

Go to Nintendos website and set up a user account (if you haven't already)

Enter the codes from the VIP point cards you get in the games and hardware to register the products. You will be awards VIP points for doing this.

Go into your account to see how many VIP point you have.

Go to the VIP point shop and click on the Wii point exchange section (this will open up a new window which you'll have to login to again)

Purchase Wii point cards using your VIP points.

I thought Japan got them to?

I guess it makes sense that Japan would get VIP points...I'm not Japanese so I wouldn't know.

Japan gets TONS of free Nintendo crap...we're all used to that though.

 Still, I think Americans should be more pissed than the Brits about VIP points.

My problem is allot worse!

On the old website i made an account and put all my points on it (about 5000) and then one day it just wouldnt let me login so i contacted Nintendo twice and got no response, so those points went down the drain. So i had been saving my points up (not online) and then the website updated so i thought it might be more trustworthy this time, i put 4600 points on, a week later i link my account to my Wii and try to access the VC card shop... no luck, iwait a week... no luck.. a few days later I go online to try again and see im logged out, i try to log back in... NO F***ING LUCK!!!!!!!!

I sent Nintendo two emails, its been around a week and i'v had no response.

 Its little consilation for 6 month late releases and jacked up prices.

Plus Americans get the fantastic "Buy 2 Wii games, get 1 free" Toys'R'Us deals.

It's sad we don't get the Wii points/stars/VIP whatever, but we get a lot of other great things (good prices, earlier release dates, and great deals).

It is a PAL wide thing I think (not sure about Australasia)

however I am now very annoyed at how many points I have thrown away, I mean all but one of the slips from GC games just got thrown away years ago (I searched thorugh all the boxes and was surprised to find one in ChibiRobo... Chibi makes me happy)

Also i seem to have lost 3 of my recent Wii ones too, so despite owning a GC + 14 games, and a Wii + 6 games (not including Wii sports).

Luckily the Wii console slip wasn't lost, so I got 1000 stars from that, plus 250 stars for joining, 250 each for ChibiRobo, Excite truck and SMG, plus 200 for RE4:Wii.

2200 stars when I could have had OVER 9000! (I don't get that... is it just some random Soriku thing?) well, over 5000 anyway.
