Yes, November really surprsied me as well.  I thought VGChartz was overtracking based on expectations but NPD confirmed the VGChartz numbers were very accurate (within the margin of error of the NPD in most cases). 

Also, we've gotten some UK data recently that tracks very closely to VGChartz. Since UK is the largest market in Europe, that's a good sign.

Short answer yes.

They are as 'right' as anything else out there. Everyone polls a small portion of the market place and then uses various functions to derive what they think the real total is.

With VGChartz if you compare what they have to the shipped numbers any company gives you will nearly always see that VGChartz is pretty accurate.

VgCHartz does alright, but the most important thing is that they're getting better. Much better.

They don't adjust the data according to NPD, but only when speaking to publishers and whenever recieveing reports from the big three.

You never did edit your post to say vgchartz (or post a correction), so I assume you mean vgcharts as you stated.

Vgcharts is basically just NPD data. So it's about as accurate as this site (vgchartz) was 3-6 months ago. If they want current and accurate data send them to vgchartz.com especially if they don't like the data on vgcharts.

VGchartz is not accurate, unfortunately they have undertracked the Wii by about 14,000%.

rofl, last time i checked that site it was only updated to February NPD... and the actual charts are terrible, it is difficult to see what is going on in them.

Also they seem to have a sum total of 5 members

 Why? I'm just speaking the truth, give me CONCRETE evidence that the Wii isn't being undertracked. You're just underestimating its power. Soon the Milky Way Galaxy will be renamed to Super Mario Galaxy. Just watch.
