I often can't believe the negative stigma attached to this plant. Just remember that inhaling isn't the only way to consume cannabis. You can cook it into foods and still get all of the benefits of THC without damaging your lungs one bit. This is extremely beneficial to any user, especially someone going through serious medical treatments.

And also keep in mind that [fresh or dried] raw cannabis (the illegal plant we're all discussing) has zero drug properties when consumed. It's on par with the healthiest vegetables on the planet. Far healthier than even spinach, and is the absolute best way to fight inflammatory illnesses (such as cancer).

Also, an area of land planted with cannabis or hemp creates a system that is 4x more efficient in producing oxygen than the same area of land planted with trees. Cannabis is naturally beneficial to all life, and can only be consumed as a drug when heated to a certain temperature or combusted. The more we care to learn about this naturally healthy plant, the more ridiculous the drug laws around the world are.

As a farmer, no one should have the right to tell me that I can't plant cannabis, which cleans the air and makes the healthiest salad possible. Nor should I have to fear planting hemp, which can be used to make clothing, paper products, oil, food, etc.

By the way, I celebrated 4/20 by mixing some hummus with some cannabis olive oil I made recently. Very yummy, very healthy.

You make salades with it? lol That's interesting. The most I have done is use it as seasoning in meat, make tea and fry it in oil before making brownies. Very diverse plant. Can you give me the price of quantities in your area?

Ok you win. Weed is awesome and in no way bad for you. You should keep smoking it. Rock on.

B-b-b-but I thought it was good for you? I thought it cured cancer!?

Did I say it was "in no way bad for"? It causes minor lung damage over the years if you smoke joints, and may possibly increase the risk of schizo in those who smoke heavily from a young age. Haven't mentioned it until now, but it may also bring up underlying psychological issues... but to be fair a lot of things can do that and you'd have to already have them in the first place. Nobody said it was neccessarily good for you, and nobody here said it cured cancer, the only thing we know for sure is it restricts the growth of some types of cancers.

Stop being a little bitch and putting words people's mouths because you were wrong. Just accept the fact that weed isn't actually that bad for you, is medically beneficial to many people, and the science is there to prove it.

For a healthy person such as myself, the negatives far outweigh the positives. Wait...........what are the positives again?

I haven't actually made a salad, that was just an example of what you can do with this particular superfood.  I would have to live somewhere that I could grow it without restrictions year-round since the salad would be made from the fresh, raw leaves of the plant.  I've also heard of people juicing the leaves and having extremely beneficial results in fighting serious illness (search for "juicing raw cannabis" on youtube).

I've personally never purchased in bulk (never beyond 1/4 oz), but the price of a single 1/8 oz bag would range anywhere from $20-60 in Michigan.  The high end being medical grade from a dispensary.

We're past the medical thing, its common knowledge that most smoke it because of peer pressure and/or pleasure. Maybe even addiction.

Funny things are funnier - You mean you laugh at stupid stuff? There's a solution to this, get funnier friends.

Sex is more intense - Well there is a safe, legal alternative that doesn't fuck up your mind, its called viagra. Try it.

Music is amazing - Well if you're bored of your current music, look for something new. If getting high is the only way to for you to enjoy music, there's an obvious issue here.

Food tastes incredible - Maybe if you ignore the taste of weed in your mouth LOL. Again, if getting high is the only way for you to enjoy food, you got a major problem.

Burst of ideas and creativity - You mean delusions? You do know this is a symptom of schizo right?

yes and i don't even touch it but i drink alcohol and i think it's fine that alcohol is allowed and i really don't think marijuana would be more harmful to our society as alcohol is.

I never said most smoke it for it's medicinal qualities, never even implied it, just stated the fact that it does have medicinal qualities.

Funny things are funnier - You mean you laugh at stupid stuff? There's a solution to this, get funnier friends.

Sure, you could laugh at stupid stuff. But it also makes things you'd still find funny sober een funnier. One of my favourite things to do while high is watch stand-up. I find it funny sober, but it's damn hilarious when I'm high. Most of my friends don't smoke.

Sex is more intense - Well there is a safe, legal alternative that doesn't fuck up your mind, its called viagra. Try it.

So now weed "fucks up your mind"? You're an ignorant tool confirmed then. Do you have the same policy on other aphrodisiacs as well? Just try viagra instead? Oh and: http://www.euroclinix.net/viagra-side-effects.html

Music is amazing - Well if you're bored of your current music, look for something new. If getting high is the only way to for you to enjoy music, there's an obvious issue here.

Who said it's the only way to enjoy music? With music, I think it as another way really... you hear all the intracate details and everything blends together nicer. It's more "different" than "better" actually, so my wording was poor.

Food tastes incredible - Maybe if you ignore the taste of weed in your mouth LOL. Again, if getting high is the only way for you to enjoy food, you got a major problem.

Again, who said it's the only way to enjoy food? It enhances that enjoyment. The taste of weed is gone if I eat a couple skittles.

Burst of ideas and creativity - You mean delusions? You do know this is a symptom of schizo right?

Nope, I don't mean that. It's let's you see things in a new light rather than see things that weren't there before. A lot of the time it lets you get rid of insercurites and personal biases so you can really self-reflect. I often write down my thoughts when high and then read them again when sober. Sure, some is barely coherant ramblings, but a lot is really helpful, even mind-blowing at times. I learn a lot about myself.

But go on, keep putting it down. You're the one missing out.

Why even do it? Why are so many so disatisfied with their own life that they need drugs and to be drunk all the time? Why or what has made your life like this?
Basically you are saying that :
A- Evolution did not do a good enough job making you.
B- God did not do a good enough job making you.

What is the point?

I would actually redirect your thesis toward more dangerous [and common] things such as processed sugars (as addictive as cocaine and heroin) or caffeine (which is a drug that actually kills people).

I suppose the short answer is that people can become addicted to anything that makes them feel good/happy.  And that idea doesn't even necessarily have to include drugs, there are most likely 1000s of things people consume too much of and abuse.  The consumption of cannabis CAN be a very positive thing in the right context.

spurgeonryan said:
That is true^ but people do not drink soda or eat candy to get high. They may want to spend more time in the bathroom brushing their teeth or working out more in the gym, but it is not to get high.

You don't get it spurge.

Those who use weed or whatever drug to escape from their shitty life? I'm with you, that's counter-productive and can lead to dependance/addiction.

I don't need weed just as much as I don't need video games. In short, I do it mostly just because I enjoy it... what's wrong with just enjoying something?
