So we have learned that the 3DS initial shipment of 400,000 sold out within a matter of minutes. 

How well will the 3DS sell first day in other territories including EMEAA and Americas?

2.5 million Nintendo 3DS units to places outside of Japan by the end of March 2011.

My ignorant prediction:

EMEAA: 800,000

Americas: 900,000

Knowing it's Japan we are talking about that sold out in minutes, I'd say that first day sales will probably result in about 60% of shipment being sold out, first week will guarantee no units left. Ebay prices would probably hit somewhere in the region of 175% mark up. Just my wild guess

Whatever the shipment is.

I'll be shocked if the 3DS doesn't see 100% sell through on all available inventory through 2011.

Find the shipping numbers, and you'll essentially have your sell through figures once those units hit retail.
