Then worry about what games to get on what system later.

yea i would go with the the 2nd way
and i find it to be very frustrating when looking at the 360's library because at the end of the day even if a game is supposedly "exclusive" i STILL dont know if it's exclusive.
most of them end up going to "other console's" after a specific amount of time

Some of us still do that.......

I use my 360 as my PC port machine and I'm happy with it, so for me personally, it's getting 'exclusive' games. The problem with that situation is that most of the PC ports I've played on my 360, have been pretty bad. Two Worlds was Satans asshole, Mass Effect ran horribly, Divinity 2 was just a chuggin, Dark Messiah, Metro 2033 had some issues and so on. Sometimes this means that I tend to avoid the PC port exclusives all together and just stick to the fully functional 'exclusives' or it hurts my experiences with the PC port exclusives.
If someone owned a gaming PC, then I wouldn't reccommend that they buy a 360. If someone owned exclusively owned a PS3, then I think a 360 is a perfect companion. Wii owners can easily choose between both, just by looking at the overall libraries and seeing which one has the features and games that suits them. New owners are fucked, because I don't think owning a single platform is enough for this generation, especially when most of the systems get so many different games.
Bet with Conegamer and AussieGecko that the PS3 will have more exclusives in 2011 than the Wii or 360... or something.

great stuf d21lewis.
sicne your liek me what platform you planning to get DUke Nukem on?
I was thinking 360 because in the trailer he had a 360 control. So it may mean less bugs???? eg black ops 360 v ps3 scenario here.
I don't think any of those two methodologies are good enough at all. Multiplatforms, even when they are all rated AAA, can be of a very different quality ( PC Mass Effect and Dragon Age Origins were very superior to other versions of the game, not only visually but mainly gameplay wise). And if you only consider exclusives you might find yourself picking a console with lots of exclusives (Wii) but little multiplatform support.
I guess a mix between those two would be better.
Well since the only consoles that I consider are PS3 vs 360, then I only really look at exclusives.
The issue is PC/360 games. Generally, I consider them as a for the 360, but I am playing PC games more and more, so I am not really sure any more.
But the real point is that I have both anyway, so I am very happy!
I don't really mind. As long as the games I want are on a console, I'll play them, exclusive or non-exclusive...
I'm in the just play the games camp, but if you need to compare - for example because you can only afford one console then I'd look at the exclusives as the rest of the library would, in theory, be available no matter what choice was made.
Try to be reasonable... its easier than you think...
