i see post above saying some mayors got their second shipment already. so if these mayors of japan decide to sell them then when did the 3DS launch?
when does first week end? will these new shipments be included in first week? or is it already over.
3DS first week sales are only for its first two days (Saturday and Sunday), this new shipment will be counted for its second week.

First week is just two days I think so these numbers is what Media Create should report as first week sales.
That being said the "first shipment" of 400k units was apparently shipped in two waves to stop people from selling it on ebay for high prices.
OT: They want to ship 900k units this quarter, right? With five weeks left that makes 100k units a week for Japan. Sounds reasonable, although not as much as they shipped during the GBA's launch period

i thought it was 1.5 million units by end of march.
so thats another 1.1 million units. i dont' know if this figure is for japan only or all regions though. It woudl seem that it almost has to be purely japan. I mean if second shipments are already in stores and it already sold 400k in japan it seems very very very lowball if they are only shipping 1.5 million worldwide.
anyone know the figure on the second shipment? it 100k, 250k, 400k, more?

The numbers are legit (they are in line with what VGChartz reported for the respective weeks).
Concerning 3DS numbers: Gamefront.de reported the same numbers and they've always been a legit source. I can't point you to an english speaking website but gamefront can be trusted.

Actually, you are right. 1.5 million for Japan. Dunno why I had that number in my head
