Pokemon Snap was originally revealed as a Nintendo 64 game it was developed by HAL labrotory and Pax Softnica, and published by Nintendo. The game features 63 of the original generation of 151 Pokémon. It was released on March 21, 1999 in Japan, and June 30 and September 15 in North America and PAL regions both in 1999

For the people who have never played or herd about this game ill give a quick summary

STORY

You play as a Pokemon photographer that is summoned buy professor Oak to travel to a strange island to help him with a report. Oak needs quality pictures of Pokemon to accompany his scientific findings

GAMEPLAY

The game features seven levels: Beach, Tunnel, Volcano, River, Cave, Valley, and the special course "Rainbow Cloud." Different levels have different Pokemon such as the cave level has Zubats and Diglets ect ect. The levels are very linear its basically a "rail shooter" as you go through the levels you must take pictures of the Pokemon in there natural habitat. Extra points are awarded for capturing a "special" pose of a Pokemon, such as a surfing Pikachu. You can also obtain items such as a apple to stun or attract Pokemon there is also a Poke-flute witch can be used to awaken certain Pokemon, make Pokemon dance or even hatching Pokemon. When the level ends you can show Professor Oak 1 picture of every Pokemon you photographed and you then earn points to unlock the next level

The 3DS line-up is already strong enough. I'm more worried for the Wii and I want a Pokémon Snap on my Wii.

ah pokemon snap...such good times.

As much as I loved playing that game I dunno if this is an idea that would fly nowadays. But who knows what new innovative ideas nintendo can muster up. This kinda game can really use the 3d effect on the 3ds.

Pokemon Snap on every platform! Man I played that game way too much for a fake monster safari picture taking sim...

LISTEN TO THE FIRST WORLD PODCAST REAL GAMERS, REAL AWESOME

Sure, Day 1, getting a picture of mew was a blast... Day 1, nintendo, make it happen pls...

I don't care if it is on the Wii or the 3DS, but I would love a sequel to Pokemon snap.

Yea I think it's a good idea to make Pokemon snap 3ds. It can be third person but go into first person when using your camera. Nintendo could use the motion sensors to move the camera as if you are the character yourself.  In that ngp uncharted demo where you move ngp when using the scope to move the target around. When I saw that I instantly thought of Pokemon Snap.

The concept of Pokemon Snap could work really well with the Augmented Reality technology I think. Nintendo should definitely release one for 3DS, I'm sure kids especially would love to look for Pokemons in their own house, garden and take pictures of them... The pokemon that would appear would depend on the background setting, luminosity, colors, etc.

I've been wanting Pokemon Snap 2 for years. Whether it is on 3DS or Wii or even Nintendo's next console I would love to see a Pokemon Snap 2. Nintendo could do so much to update the title especially with the Wii or 3DS. Using the Wiimote like a camera would be awsome. 3DS you could use the gyroscopes and 3D functionality to make it like no experiance seen before.
