LOL why is this even a question. Its too late for Japan, PS3 simply can't catch up...the gap is too big and the console market isnt doing well enough.

Making this thread for EMEAA would have more of a chance of PS3 outselling Wii than in Japan

Like i've always thought, PS3 is here for a very long time - at least another 3 - 5 years. a lot of those users have only recently adopted the PS3 in Japan (and other regions) thus those users will continue to support the console for years to come.

the PS3 is selling more units than the Wii despite the higher price so a price cut will only improve things. the exclusive Tales of Xillia will help, FF13-2 i'm not sure because all those people who bought FF13 will probabily be the only adopters of this title.

Lets say that the PS3 hovers around the 25-30k per week range, and the Wii hovers around 10-15k per week range from now for a long time (outside of minor bumps for both every now and again).

You're looking at a maximum weekly sales victory of 20k in that scenario.

At that rate, the 5.2million gap would be gone in 260 weeks. That's 5 years...
