Well how many of those games have 80% or better reviews on GameRankings.Com?

I am glad you have found a website to justify your trolling. Maybe you would like know all the titles on this list recieved over 80 million Shrutebucks on the dschumm scale.

Point of order though, the title should read "so far" not this year as many of those are launch titles and over a year old. Unless you are trying to say 21 games released in the Wii's first year will be million sellers. Great list.

Final* Word on Game Delays:

The game will not be any better or include more content then planned. Any commnets that say so are just PR hogwash to make you feel better for having to wait.

Delays are due to lack of proper resources, skill, or adequate planning by the developer.

Do be thankful that they have enough respect for you to delay the game and maintain its intended level of quality.

reliance on reviews- especially for the more "party" type games is useless, because 1 person plays it, and most of the time the 1 person part of party games...suck.

look at mario& sonic ...mostly so-so to crappy reviews, but people are Buying the game because it is a good party game

mario party 8 same thing..

the TRUE test of a game is each individual person, like what kitler53 said,,

how many of the games have YOU played and hated?

how many of the games have YOU played and liked?

personally i have played 8 of the above list.. and liked all of them reviews are good for getting an overview of the game and pictures/videos of the game , other than that there should be only ONE reviewer you should trust, and he is looking at you every time you look in a mirror.

I've played quite a few games in my lifetime with an average review less than 80% and enjoyed them very much.

Reviews don't mean anything, especially on a system that has extremely different gameplay. I'm not sure reviewers even know how to rate some of these games.

One thing to remember as the Wii gets older is that there will be a "players choice" type series soon and these are the games that will go down to $20. Then watch them sell!

BAM! There it is!

People need to stop acting like games are defined by review scores. Gaming didn't used to be like "If X game doesn't get a 3.5/5 from Nintendo Power I WON'T TRY IT"

Many Wii games seem to have decent legs -- people who say the games don't sell expect a huge first two weeks I guess and then call FAILURE.

I actually think Nintendo themselves have no plans for a "Player's Choice" line at the moment, because most of their software is selling incredible numbers.

3rd parties are starting to do very well on the system. So far it's just the unique mini-game/casual games like RRR, Carnival Games and Cooking Mama, and the established franchises like Sonic, GH and RE. But hopefully this success will lead to third parties putting more ambitious games on the platform.

"[Our former customers] are unable to find software which they WANT to play."
"The way to solve this problem lies in how to communicate what kind of games [they CAN play]."

Satoru Iwata, Nintendo President. Only slightly paraphrased.

If 'this year' = 2008 and Animal Crossing Wii comes out in 2008, then you can add that one as well.

One thing that I notice about the Wii's million sellers list is that none of the titles are stagnate... (except Red Steel) All of the others on the MS list have been climbing steadily and are in the top 100 WW. I see Metriod clearing 1 mil and then making it to 1.5 when all is said and done... RRR2 will outsell RRR if it finds legs in January. I also think Pokemon will limp to a million and die right at it, same with Sonic.... Cooking Mama will make it... that retarded game will be in the top 200 in 2009 with around 1.8 million sold.... sadly... I am not sure how lego will do once holidays end... That game strikes me as a game parents buy that don't know anything about games (it has Lego's and star wars...)

UC will finish between 1.2-1.4, barring that its legs don't break after the holidays(it is not a typical Wii legs game, I think it is a good test to see if even "hardcore" 3rd party games have good legs on Wii)

I ain't gonna touch Mysims, or Carnival Games I have no idea what they will do...

I am wondering if SSBB will help these other titles or break all of their legs. It could help like Halo helped all 360 games, or it could be so huge it swallows all sales.

SMG- will be top 50 for 2 years and break 10 mil easily.
Mario and Sonic- 3 million before it slows, then picks up around 3.5 near Olympics and goes on to sell 4.5 lifetime. add another 2 million WW for DS version.

People are just now starting to see the power of Mario and Sonic. Not only the olympics this year but I can bet we will see a sequel for the next olympipcs, and then a drop to bargin price for this one and then a package price. Who knew Sega was so right?

I am sure we will see greatest hits. Just like we will eventually see a price drop for the Wii. You think things are absurd now, Nintendo hasn't even really gotten mass market yet.
