I did say it them. And ill do it again. Even if they beat me 100 times. If i stay in back ill most likely rubber band to the front if i am lucky. And if you stay in 1st play, good luck lol.

Whatever floats your boat.

Fact is, though, Mario Kart requires skill.

Rockstar: Announce Bully 2 already and make gamers proud!

Kojima: Come out with Project S already!

It was just boring.

Totally bland, it wanted to be the Micro Machines of 2000s but was shit. Nothing in it stood out at all, apart from the loading times :P

I'd argue it wasn't "pick up and play" enough.

Common thing between LBP, NSMB, and Mario Kart?  You can get in and start playing with nary a load screen at all.  That is key for a game to be popular amongst a more casual audience.  Accessibility and ease of use.   Excruciatingly long load times and an unintuitive menu can kill a game like this.

Plus, I wouldn't exactly call the characters in MNR charming.  They just looked goofy to me, and don't have the appeal of Sackboy or Nintendo's mascots.

Yeah, I hate those open HUB worlds that so many people just think are the best thing ever.  Sometimes, I just want to play my game, not wander around a world.  I don't really understand why people think playing a not-fun game to get to the (hopefully) fun game is a good idea.

By the time they fixed that with the patch along with the difficulty, I had already decided I hated the game.

Yup, hub worlds were cool in 1997, not so much now. Back then exploring any 3d "space" was fascinating. Now the 3d space has to actually contain something with a purpose.

Yeah, this guy told me how Mario Kart takes no skill over and over when I gave him about 500 points stating why it does.  BTW, I can stay in front and win every time unless I'm playing someone on the same level as me.

On topic: Modnation Racers didn't do good becasue it isn't a very good game.  I played it and the controls are very loosey goosey.  I'd rate Mario Kart, Gran Turismo, Forza, Excite Truck, Wipeout, and even Sonic and Sega All Stars Racing above it.   I could go on, but I won't.

^^^ the man thinks it takes no skill let him have his opinion, i think MK does take skill but IMO MNR was more challenging

It got lost in it's release date. Not to mention GT5 and NFS were the two big releases in the racing genre last holiday season. Although I see ModNation Racers reaching 2 - 3 Million lifetime due to bundles.

Who's the best Pac, Nas, and Big. Just leave it to that.

I am letting him have his opinion, but I am also entitled to mine.

I have raced several people with his opinion and guess what?  Most of their opinions changed after that.

Like i said, it does require some skill. So that's why you beat all those people. But you can't tell me that there is a way you can beat someone that gets the red shell/blue shell over and over. And the higher place you are in, the worse the weapons you are most likely to get. That causes major rubber banding. Modnation racers takes more skill because the drifiting is more like you said (loosy). And it takes skill when to know to use your boost, weapons, and when to save up weapons to make them stronger. Also, when to tail someones boost power at max speed. Both are a lot of fun, but MNR simply requires more skill (imo) and i would rather play it, and play with user made tracks and mods than MK any day. Also like i said, i think it sold less because of the mascot problem.

Ive played both and MNRs is harder than MKWii by far, its actually kind of stupid how hard the game was, the crazy thing is my little cousins prefer it over MK, that kind of shocked me, because i didnt think little kids would love the diffuculty (they learned pretty quick)

I love Modnation. I wish it would sell better. My friends like it too, we race every once in a while. I just thing the load times turn away the casual audience.
