Joking aside (somewhat), a late GC surge *may* push it above Xbox numbers, if Nintendo is really lucky.

It's a clearance sale, pretty sure they aren't even making Gamecubes anymore, so no it's not going to suddenly push past the Xbox. ;>
In all seriousness... Perhaps parents who wished to buy their kids their "first" game console wanted a Wii and couldn't find one. Instead they are grabbing a cube and will take advantage of the last generation of great games for the cube and will ultimately get a Wii knowing all their games will be 100% compatible... It's a stretch, but maybe it explains a few sold given the crazy demand for the Wii this holiday...
