Forums - Gaming - Do you keep games in a collection ie. A LOT OF THEM, or trade/aquire/trade

I keep any game that I enjoyed. Though I did lose a lot a few years back to a flood.

The only time I sell games is in a big bundle with a console on eBay. I never trade in, it's usually a rip-off.

i've found that people tend to make more money from selling them individually, or it used to be that way anyway.

OT: I have yet to play a LOT of my games. i have a lot of old master system games, i cant stop buying them when i find them. and i still have a couple of GC games i haven't even played yet (including RE4).

i'm kinda proud of my wee collection, i don't really want to trade any of them in. And the vast majority of the 30 PS2 games I have are my brother's, so i wouldn't get rid of them anyway.

i keep them since there is no point of selling them untill they become very rare.

I don't trade in my games.  Most of my collection is at my parent's house, but I have all my portable game collection and my current generation games with me.  The only game I ever traded in was Super Ghouls 'n Ghosts.  That was not a fun game.

I used to trade aquire trade aquire. Never owning more then six or seven games. However after I bought GameCube I realized how many hundreds of dollars I had thrown away since NES. I traded in every 64 game I had and the N64 and still couldn't afford the GameCube which was pretty bad. So I worked all summer berry picking to afford my GameCube and SmashBros:Melee.

Honestly I was upset I believe I got like 120$ for my N64 and like four or five games. I realized after getting GameCube that all these years of trading had left me with nothing. Then I wanted to go back and play SNES and N64 and realized heck I didn't have them anymore.

I paid about 100$ per N64 title and sold them back to EBGames for like 30$ it was a loss of 70$ per game. That just wasn't worth it. So today I have all my GameCube games still I have traded in only a hand full of Wii games. I tend to hang onto any game I deem worth value.

In the end I will hoard my games from now on and in 20 years I can still go back and play the games I loved back in the day. I will not repeate the mistake of trading everything in for the latest games. I will instead continue buying new games and consoles and holding onto them.

I would'nt have the room if I did that.

I play and trade games all the time, never owning more than a handful of games at a time. I'm not a collector of games, just a player.

Just finished Dead space 2, traded it in for Killzone 3 and TDU2. I got 60 dollars back for dead space 2 as part of a promo at EBGames, ended up paying just CAD 56 incl tax. So I played Dead space 2 and Dead space extraction for free.

I also noticed Demon's souls is now available as greatest hits for only CAD 20 if anyone still wants to play it.

They're not getting my copy of GT5 or LBP2 though :)

If I had to choose from those two ? Having a collection.

Who's the best Pac, Nas, and Big. Just leave it to that.
