i have a whole bookshelf of games i love collecting them and having them all sit together on the self.. so this one time..

i once traded my freind red dead redemption and GTA IV storys 10k world of warcraft gold (that is a alot of money, more money then hes ever had, he was able to buy machaeno hog, only wow ppl will know what that is) for his DS lite (black), pokemon pearl and a sonic game ... but since i love collecting games so much i convinced him to let me keep the red dead and GTA ps3 game case LOLOLOL thats how nerd i am he was literaly laughing at me like wtf why??

P.S do you think my freind got ripped off? or do you think it was fair trade (i think he got ripped of lol oh well but he said himself that he hasnt used it in over like 1-2 years and since hes got it hes only had 2 games for it)

also P.S i already had a ds(first gen)(top screen almost broken off but still works) but i wanted another one so i could trade pokemons with myself i have pokemon SS HG pearl and diamond and platnium and i allways wanted another ds so i didnt have to borro his all the time to trade with myself(im hardcore pokemon nerd) also note: your probly thinking why didnt u just conect to internet and trade pokemon over internet??? well thats because i cant connect my ds'es to the internet for some strange reason (i think it has somthing to do with ds not being able to use WEP keys or somthing idk)

P.S sorry for misspelled words unpuncuated sentances ect ect

It's perfectly normal for a male your age to play with yourself.  Don't let anyone tell you that it's dirty.

so most of you keep them then thats good. on some titles ive traded them in and got them back later on numerous times. god knows how many times ive hade motorstorm 1 and assasins creed 2

...not much time to post anymore, used to be awesome on here really good fond memories from VGchartz...

PSN: Skeeuk - XBL: SkeeUK - PC: Skeeuk

really miss the VGCHARTZ of 2008 - 2013...

I tend to never sell or trade anygames as I consider them an important part of my life due to the time I invest in them.  if a game really means nothing to me then I'll sell it or trade it.  Thus i have a pretty big collection of old games collecting dust on a shelf, but i treat them as heirlooms

I've sold pretty much everything from prior generations, but it's usually been to fund new console purchases. For example, I sold my N64 and all its games to buy a Gamecube.

Sometimes I have no regrets, others (like with the above) I end up feeling like it was the biggest mistake I ever made...

VGChartz

Well after a close inspection this is all that I have left atm:

Gears 2, Cod WaW, Mass Effect 2, Halo Wars, Halo 3, Darksiders, Dead Rising 2, Bayonetta, Darkness, Shadowrun and Supreme Commander.

What a piss-poor excuse for a collection :p, considering I played about ~70 games it's quite a downgrade x).

I used to trade aquire trade aquire. Never owning more then six or seven games. However after I bought GameCube I realized how many hundreds of dollars I had thrown away since NES. I traded in every 64 game I had and the N64 and still couldn't afford the GameCube which was pretty bad. So I worked all summer berry picking to afford my GameCube and SmashBros:Melee.

Honestly I was upset I believe I got like 120$ for my N64 and like four or five games. I realized after getting GameCube that all these years of trading had left me with nothing. Then I wanted to go back and play SNES and N64 and realized heck I didn't have them anymore.

I paid about 100$ per N64 title and sold them back to EBGames for like 30$ it was a loss of 70$ per game. That just wasn't worth it. So today I have all my GameCube games still I have traded in only a hand full of Wii games. I tend to hang onto any game I deem worth value.

In the end I will hoard my games from now on and in 20 years I can still go back and play the games I loved back in the day. I will not repeate the mistake of trading everything in for the latest games. I will instead continue buying new games and consoles and holding onto them.

I live off of gamefly and sell all my new bought games on eBay. I only own a ps3 and I only actually own Uncharted 2 and Killzone 3. I play the games on other systems at my buds house or i borrow thier systems. I don't i have a need to keep a collection. I know i will never play old games again. And if i do want to, its not worth keeping it around and selling it at way less than i bought it for.

There is a game missing from the games you actually own.

OT.  I keep games I'll play again or hope to play again and sell off those that after playing once don't think I'll ever want to play again.

I currently have 206 games, but I usually only keep RPGs (with the exception of Oblivion IV and Shadow Hearts) and a few other games that I could see myself playing over and over again like Shadow of the Colossus.

Wow...

I've never sold a game. I want to keep everything. But my collection is still small, it's only like 50 games.

I have old floppy disks with games around somewhere... I never trade, I just eventually figure I better clear out old stuff eventually.

Try to be reasonable... its easier than you think...
