Forums - PC - Shogun 2 Demo Out

Nice. Played it for a bit too long today, and I really liked it. I don't really like Medieval Times or guns in a game like this so I've pretty much skipped Medieval, Empire (I did try the demo though but it was buggy and didn't like it anyway) and Napoleon while the original Shogun is too old, leaving only Rome. Anyway, like I said I really liked the demo. Gameplay seemed pretty fun, battles have potential to be fun, the graphics are gorgeous (and beautiful), the game ran very well on my PC, and I pretty much love the theme.

Despite Steam, I'm getting this as soon as it becomes affordable. Hopefully by that time, it will also have a complete edition with all the DLC. If not... Well, it's going to be some more waiting for me. And for SEGA, too, they won't be getting my money so quickly them. But in any case, I'm definitely getting this game sooner or later.

6GB, damm that took a whole 3 minutes to download (I am not joking in the slightest)

But, seriously, I really cannot wait for the 15th March, I am salvating over the game, I haven't bothered with battles yet, just campaign and it is great fun. A good improvement, it looks lovely and the interface is much improved

My only slight issue is that the path lines don't seem to appear, but I am sure that can be tweaked

This is really an amazing, I am very impressed what they have come up with here

Reveal your secret. Fibre optic? BT seems to be refusing to roll it out in my area.

6GB or not, it took about an hour for me to download it, with an 8.5Mbps connection (so about 1.2 megabytes per second).

Now to try it out.

My uni has 90mb download speeds according to the internet tests, so it is rather useful for downloading games even if that is not the intended purpose...

Luckily I am gettng Virgin 50mb put in at home as well

“It appeared that there had even been demonstrations to thank Big Brother for raising the chocolate ration to twenty grams a week. And only yesterday, he reflected, it had been announced that the ration was to be reduced to twenty grams a week. Was it possible that they could swallow that, after only twenty-four hours? Yes, they swallowed it.”
