Oh man I haven't read  Shogun in ten years, I need to pick it up again.

Shogun is good as Hell.

Were you using the expression, or is there actually a book called Hell?

I apologize, I was using a colloquialism.

Finally had time to start another book yesterday on the way to Londn, life of Pi, 17 train stops, there and back >_>, interesting intro but the first several pages seem to be more of a filler to the story, although interesting the related bits are far and few in between. I don't want to be a zoologist.

Some people really like Life of Pi... I never finnished it...

my english teacher recommended starting it from page 80-something, that's when it starts to get interesting apparently , but I think I am beginning to see the relation in regards to the book cover and plot in the story, but it's pretty interesting thus far.

I really didn't like Life of Pi. It was too surreal in some parts. The most recent book that I read was Lockdown: Escape From the Furnace by Alexander Gordon Smith. Thoroughly creepy (I don't generally read scary books. I prefer historical fiction).

In terms of the classics, I haven't really read that many lately. A friend suggested Wuthering Heights. Seems like a literary chick flick to me, but I'll give it a try.

Jesus you guys read books so damned fast...how do you find time to be on vgchartz, do normal life stuff, play video games, and yet still read that much?  I don't get it!

Money can't buy happiness. Just video games, which make me happy.

I just finished Gulliver's Travels by Johnathan Swift and the classic holds up remarkably well IMO.

I also read Quentin Tarantino's Screenplay for "Deathproof" (only took a few hours to read). I liked the movie a lot its the second screenplay of his I've read after Inglourious Basterds. I've finally seen all his movies, Jackie Brown was hard to track down.

The only other screenplay I've read is "The Social Network" by Aron Sorkin which I downloaded (legally) onto my pc. Next "book" I plan to read is the "Inception" Screenplay by Nolan.

Reading a screenplay? Screenplays are meant to be turned into movies and watched!!!

Well I'm currently writing a screenplay of my own. So reading them helps.

That makes sense. What's it about?

The only fiction book worth of mentioning that I've read is The Name of the Rose, which I liked very much. I prefer books about history, economy and scientific divulgation. Of these I've read Dragons of Eden and The History of Time. Currently reading Common Wealth: Economics for a Crowded Planet by Jeffrey Sachs.
