Forums - Sony - Resident Evil 6 to be Timed Exclusive?

The one reason being, both Final Fantasy and RE  can bring some significant  sales in Japan through Ps3, it really matters to the developers to bring a timed exclusive. Both RE5 and Final Fantasy Xiii were meant to be Ps3 exclusives initially, which then turned out to be multiplatform and delayed.

Yeah,but Capcom and Sony are buddies while MS and Capcom aren't. 

Capcom and Sony are buddies? Well that'd explain why DMC4 went multiplat and the first Dead Rising and Lost Planet were 360 exclusive.

Yeah, no . . . it's all about the $$$ in the industry these days.

I don't recall Sony paying for any timed exclusives for ps2, ps2 just had such an overwelming install base that devs prioritized ps2

Sony bought the exclusivity rights for Soul Calibur III after Soul Calibur II sold just as well on the Gamecube as it did on the PS2 (with Xbox sales were up there too).

i think sony would be thinking more along the lines of exclusive content. RE6 with a wii upgraded RE rail shooter that has move support would be a good idea.

they could also tie in with having the other RE wii game upgraded and put onto PSN
