Good job, Vetteman!

About BD, it keeps on growing, things look good for it. HDTV sales growth and BD players and discs getting cheaper will make it grow naturally and smoothly, without spikes, just like DVD did.

@Vetteman.

Nice thread. I'm about to hit 100 blu-ray's myself. Currently sitting at 99 in my collection... not sure yet what I will make #100.

What's your favorite movie on blu-ray? Maybe I'll buy that! Also have you seen any 3D blu-rays? I'm tempted to buy a new 3D HDTV this year for that. But at the same time I'm thinking it would be wise to hold out for a "3D standard" such as 3D that doesn't require glasses or everything uses the same glasses.  I hear the viewing angles with larger sets would be problematic with glasses free 3D. The 3DS being such a small screen can handle it, but with a 50 inch set the viewing angle issues are difficult to fix.

so its not improving this year

but they are damn expensive new,so someone must be making money

Its not improving?   What numbers are you looking at?    Its has been up YoY every single week so far.

And the prices have come down by a considerable amount.  Try looking in more than one place for prices

I do have a 3D TV and I really enjoy it,  But I only have a handfull of 3D movies,  Shrek 1-4, Resident Evil Afterlife, and The Last Airbender.  The games have made it worth it though despite only having 2 that supports it.  Both Gran Turismo 5 and Killzone 3 are amazing in 3D.   I really only got the TV because I was going to get a new Plasma, since I really wanted one,  and this one was part of a huge package deal with the 3D Starter Pack and 3D Blu-ray Player for free plus $800 off the TV.  I couldnt pass it up.  Being an early adopter can suck at times,  like waiting for good content, but it has its merits too.

As for my favorite movies on Blu-ray,  you probably already have them, but they are 300, The Matrix, and The Lord of the Rings Trilogy

I was just thiinking the same, even in its worst weeks it bettered its sales YoY, while DVD dropped YoY every week this year.

Yeah I have 300 and The Matrix. Holding out on the LOTR until the extended edition comes out on blu-ray.

Do you have the Panasonic VT-25? That's the one I'm looking at with the 3D Starter kit. Might wait for the VT-30 this spring though.
