| HideoK said: @Vetteman. Nice thread. I'm about to hit 100 blu-ray's myself. Currently sitting at 99 in my collection... not sure yet what I will make #100. What's your favorite movie on blu-ray? Maybe I'll buy that! Also have you seen any 3D blu-rays? I'm tempted to buy a new 3D HDTV this year for that. But at the same time I'm thinking it would be wise to hold out for a "3D standard" such as 3D that doesn't require glasses or everything uses the same glasses. I hear the viewing angles with larger sets would be problematic with glasses free 3D. The 3DS being such a small screen can handle it, but with a 50 inch set the viewing angle issues are difficult to fix. |
I do have a 3D TV and I really enjoy it, But I only have a handfull of 3D movies, Shrek 1-4, Resident Evil Afterlife, and The Last Airbender. The games have made it worth it though despite only having 2 that supports it. Both Gran Turismo 5 and Killzone 3 are amazing in 3D. I really only got the TV because I was going to get a new Plasma, since I really wanted one, and this one was part of a huge package deal with the 3D Starter Pack and 3D Blu-ray Player for free plus $800 off the TV. I couldnt pass it up. Being an early adopter can suck at times, like waiting for good content, but it has its merits too.
As for my favorite movies on Blu-ray, you probably already have them, but they are 300, The Matrix, and The Lord of the Rings Trilogy
