It seems that like most of us, Metal Gear Solid creator Hideo Kojima was pretty impressed by the recently released teaser trailer for Dead Island. He posted the following on Twitter:

The trailer for FPS’s “DEAD ISLAND” is brilliant! I do not think there has been this kind of screen image of zombie before. The framework is innovative. A family and zombie. They made it to go back in time to express. Then, what kind of FPS is the actual game?

Even though the trailer lacked any actual gameplay, it did manage to capture the emotional tragedy of a family struggling to survive a zombie outbreak. I think it’s that aspect that appealed to Kojima-san.
