Forums - Gaming - So how do you like Marvel vs Capcom 3?

Yeah! All I can say is that the game lacks features. Profiles of each character should have been more with at least 3 new images for each character. Longer character endings would have been better too. The silhouettes did not show the complete roster. Most of the MVC3 images were not good and there wasn't an image that SHOWS the complete roster. No MVC3 wallpapers. :(

But I like the arcade mode, especially the very hard mode. I just hope they had the "hardest" mode that will be extremely difficult for pros too.

No option to change the music when on "character select"

I think, I'd rather have Phoenix not becoming Dark Phoenix for as lng as she has a better health equal to Storm's.

I also hope Storm's fast vertical typhoon will be put back.

But despite of the lacking stuff, I am really enjoying playing this game. You would really be hooked on this game, playing for hours and hours with your friends. So I'm still really happy for this game. :)

Exciting, enjoyable... a game that I would keep onplaying for the next 10 years or so.... until they release MVC4. ",)

I bought it earlier today, and only put it down like half an hour ago, did a 6 hour session nonstop, it's a bloody amazing game, the best fighting game since the second to be honest...

And to be honest with you, Wolverine has the same movesets, and controls, he's part of my team, along with Deadpool and either Dante or Captain America, seriously it works out so well, I'm pretty much invincible, and it's a shame I can go through all three of the enemies on Hard mode (Not done Very Hard yet) with just Wolverine since I'm great with him, he does amazing burst damage, as soon as the fight starts and you can attack, I've already taken like 3/4 of their health off in one big barrage of attacks (Berserker Barrage followed by an uppercut followed by a launch attack and knock them back down to the floor)

At first I was a little disappointed with Deadpool, since it seems one of his ultra attacks only works on females (The one where he beats them down with his healthbar), since it does NOTHING to mle characters (He just keeps on walking up to them...), but once I realised he's amazing when you teleport around the screen using dash attacks, I couldn't put him down... his attacks aren't the strongest but he's really fast and I love a little humour while I'm fighting, lol...

you have to hit a button when you get close to them.

Its worked every time I used it . . . it's a full-body counter attack, not a direct attack. Meaning they have to hit you while you have the attack active.

GOTY Contestants this year: Dead Space 2, Dark Souls, Tales of Graces f. Everything else can suck it.

Wow played my buddy last night, I had no idea how brokenly cheap the game is.  Pinapple Surprise!

Love it but could have been so much better.

Love how the gameplay is and the graphics. I like the addition of the new characters and generally lag free competition. Seems more balanced then MVC2 overall.

What I dislike is the lack of modes: Single player seems weak and everything is unlocked for you after a few arcade beatings, and the entire gallery is unlocked once you win one mission with everyone and beat the game with every character. The mission modes are very tedious and similiar to the SSFIV trials (although not as bad, but pretty close) which I hated. Theres also no "Watch the game being played out" in the lobby, and is replaced by lame health meters on the side while you wait for your turn - HOW THE HELL DID THEY SCREW THIS UP? It was in SF4 and SSFIV and many other fighting games where you could watch others play, why not here? Also missing tournmanet mode and REPLAYS! No replays? I think they will fix some of things via DLC rape or SUPER Mar vel Vs Capcom 3.

It's just that simple.

anybody notice how in mission mode when your trying to do moves the dummy blocks some of your combos its so annoying.

This happens when you didn't perform the combo fast enough and it shows that in a real match your opponent would have had time to block midway through your combo

MvC3 is just... terrible...  This is coming from the guy that added the game to the database....

I hate it, plain and simple..

The characters are all floaty.  Controls are clunky, and characters bounce off the ground (wtf) for easy OTGs.  There's no weight to this game, all the characters feel like plastic.

The controls... Terrible...

Special button is just a button that has all the moves of a certain property mapped to it... Can you imagine playing a fighter that had a Wall bounce button?  Regardless of it being a kick or punch?  If it's a wall bounce, it gets mapped to that button...  That's the case with the launch... If it launches, it's on that button...

Many characters, throughout the series had multiple Launchers, but, now... everyone has one... and it's mapped to the same button...

On top of that... Light medium heavy?  Now, because Special button contains that property, I told you about ANY OTHER attack has no such thing!!  This is stupid... none of the standard buttons knock you away....

I nearly won the tournament, because the game is terribly simple (at a local gamestop) and, I would have had I remembered to use that cheap, overpowered X-Factor....  Attacks are strong enough in this game, and I'm fine with that.. But, X-Factor on top of that is just rediculous..

I saw someone complain about the endings....  MvC2 ending is FINE, because they weren't trying to overwork themselves... WTF Is the point of character endings when they're just a bunch of boring slide shows... Woo, how entertaining......

Same goes for the story... If you're going to do something, DO IT RIGHT... I'd rather see the game with a corny story, then to have them try and make a story, that turns out to be crap...

But, back to the gameplay... It's SLOW, it's not compairable to Marvel Vs. Capcom 2 in ANY sense...  It's not the characters, it's expected to have fewer if you're using fresh assets.

Also, the controls are simple already, WHY is there a SIMPLE MODE on top of TvC inspired controls?!  Pathetic... Manual mode isn't actually MANUAL when you have more than one attack per button...  I can go on and on for the game about why I hate it.. And, if anyone thinks MvC3 is good, they're either a scrub in MvC2, or loved TvC, or a combination of the two... If you were actually good in MvC2, you would see exactly WTF is wrong with MvC3...

It's X-factor, Simple controls, bouncing for OTGs, and whatever....  I saw the game for what it was months ago, so, luckily, I didn't buy it.. But, I have played it, and will probably play it again tomorrow...  Wont miss this game at all..

Marvel vs Street FIghter - Marvel vs Capcom (Maybe 2?  Havn't played it enough to know) all had an easy mode to button mash moves.  X-Factor is fun, you can have an opponent cheap you out, but you can bounce back and get in the game with X-Factor, it's not as cheap as you think.  All of Capcom's endings for all their fighting games minus Street Fighter 4 were all images, these ones are drawn a lot better than the old ones, the only trade off is that there's no animations in these endings.
