Yeah, then what IS the most mature thing to do? If people won't listen to my judgement (especially when I end up being right), then they obviously aren't my friends. Let them be alone and miserable as punishment for screwing over their "friends". I speak from personal experience.

If you're not going to answer, don't expect anything to change. I've tried the advice you gave the OP before...did me no good at all.

And that's what I've learned 6 years ago, and I learned it the hard way...I would be treated like a liability, despite the person continuously being hurt by his gf. I tried to remain there with him, until my patience failed me. If they realize their mistake and want to have a long, mature discussion about it all so as to sort things out, then I'm all ears. But I'm not going to be put in the same situation I did during that time. Ever since, I've been cautious about second chances.

Btw, I'm not angry, but it is annoying when people just criticize and then leave.
