If it were genuinely great, it would have likely sold a little better. But there is little potential of PSP title selling great in the west.

The new God of War is the poorest selling game in the series even with rave reviews.

MGS:PW is doing pretty crappy in the west.

Doesn't matter how good PSP games are, people tend to ignore them in the west.


PSP yeah, but not portables, a well done AC game on 3DS would sell a couple of million, MGSPW 3DS would sell 4-5 million

yeah games like VC2 are on par with console versions. Games like Tekken DR I would argue are better than the console version. It's not always the case as there are fluctuations in quality (as every other platform would have) but no there are many such IP's that are a blast to play on the go. Playing on consles have their benefits but so do portables. I find this watered down generalization outright stupid tbh.

This would be a great argument if I said everything on the PSP is watered down.

Now copy your argument and save it for some other discussion. One where it has relevance.

lol yea sure...bringing in oh psp fans say its piracy bla bla bla but it's watered down ports bla bla bla....

If the game sucks, psp fans won't say anything about piracy, heck if the game suck even pirates won't pirate it! If you can't get that simple idea into your head then can't help it. and please spare me your hissy fits and drama..take your generalization bs elsewhere

Yeah, :-p, I do that a lot. I can say "bullshit" and be calm. But in retrospect I understand people get even angrier when a curse word is said.

Games in general sell better on consoles, that's why the DS will never reach PS2's SW numbers even though it'll sell more LTD.

and no the point of my reply was to show you your statement about psp fans say it's due to piracy doesn't apply here much. I'm sure without piracy this would have done better but not that better, the game sucks, horrible camera and controls.Maybe I shouldn't have jumped to conclusion about the watered down port thing, that would be my bad and I apologize for it.

seriously doubt it.  said this before, home consoles and portable consoles are NOT the same.

What sells on one, does not mean it will sell on another.  No matter two joysticks or ps3 graphics, an exact call of duty port won't sell anywhere near any consoles numbers.  Hell it would lose to the Wii in sales.  It just isn't a portable game.  And I don't see as you said AC or MGS game being a huge handheld seller either.

Platinum isn't based on sales numbers anymore. It's more of a marketing gimmick to squeeze a few more bucks out of a title.
