Well guess what, the Wii changed everything. Of course they're not gonna go backwards. There is the Classic Controller for some games like MHTri and that's about it, they're gonna keep their current design and add new functions.

The Wiimote did change everything, and that's why they won.

What does Nintendo need to do with the Wii2? Pretty much what they're doing right now. 

They need to go away from the other consoles with a gimmick, whilst securing big 3rd party licenses (MHTri, Xenoblade, TLS, DQX, Goldeneye, Epic Mickey, Conduit 2 etc.) whilst still catering for both crowds (more Mario, Zelda, Metroid, Wii__ series), and try to get these 3rd party multiplat games (AC, COD etc.), and improve online (steps have been taken to improve this)

So Nintendo are certainly on their way to a winner console, and it's called the 3DS. The question is, can they repeat this with Wii2? I say yes

 

Oh, and, in future, cut down the thread chain. It got ridiculously long and you can get warned for that...
