People might be able to read the numbers now :P

RE:UC looks like it has got close to its lifetime (shipment) target - after just 5 weeks. Very nice, Capcom must be happy!

Boogie has sold 200k? Didn't know that. =/

The big surprise hit of 2007 is Carnival games. Is anyone gonna deny that? It must have cost only 100k to make and it may outsell Ratchet and Clank!

third party games would do fine on the Wii, its just that most third party games are garbage

which is why Ninty titles sell far more

Predictions:Sales of Wii Fit will surpass the combined sales of the Grand Theft Auto franchiseLifetime sales of Wii will surpass the combined sales of the entire Playstation family of consoles by 12/31/2015 Wii hardware sales will surpass the total hardware sales of the PS2 by 12/31/2010 Wii will have 50% marketshare or more by the end of 2008 (I was wrong!!  It was a little over 48% only)Wii will surpass 45 Million in lifetime sales by the end of 2008 (I was wrong!!  Nintendo Financials showed it fell slightly short of 45 million shipped by end of 2008)Wii will surpass 80 Million in lifetime sales by the end of 2009 (I was wrong!! Wii didn't even get to 70 Million)

I think Boogie has sold a lot more than that in Europe, it's been on the charts around here ever since release.

It came out of left field all right. The initial reaction was dirision, and now people are trying to figure out how it sold so well. Even when compared to other casual/party titles, the appeal is mystifying.

Aren't these just the North American numbers though? For Boogie it doesn't show any European data, just NA.

I had the misfortune of playing Carnival Games the other day, and while I went into it with an open mind I have to say that it's complete garbage.  A few of the games are tolerable, a couple are actually fun, but many of them are utter crap and I'm glad I wasn't the one that forked over $20 for it

I can see why it appeals to people; budget title, a setting that just BEGS for minigame conversion, etc.  However I wonder how many people are still playing it a week after the purchase

Some of those numbers are American numbers and some are more than that.

currently playing: Desktop Tower Defense (PC), Puzzle Quest (DS), Trauma Center New Blood (Wii), Guitar Hero III (Wii), Ghost Squad (Wii), Actraiser (SNES), Donkey Kong County (SNES), The Legend of Zelda (NES), Kirby's Adventure (NES)

will play next: Paper Mario (N64), Golden Axe II (Sega), NiGHTS (Wii)
