Nah, fans of dancing games just want an excuse to dance and listen to crappy pop music.
Also, the Kinect is an amazing piece of hardware for dance titles. Dancing games are definitely going to help move the hardware.

Yup, although there is DLC, every 2 years for a dance game is too long between.

All jokes aside, yearly releases for this genre is alright, but it will obviously deminish the genre quick like it did with a certain other musical fad.

Yeah but it's just a calories counter. You put in your weight and as you play the counter goes up. Having a mode where you build your playlist and dance non-stop would be much better.

Well the other music fads died out because people got tired of the peripherals.
The DDR dance pads didn't really feel like dancing.
The Guitar Hero guitars feel nothing like playing a real instrument.
Even Wii dance games will die out because its really limited to the Wiimote.
Kinect dance titles are something far more unique. I think similar peripherals in the future will make the genre better and keep it going for a long time.

Right, Halo just launched and people are excited about the remake coming this year.
Black Ops just launched, now Activision is talking the next CoD.
With that said, Dance Central fans are excited about the next game. Still quite a bit of time before November comes.

Halo launched 5 months age approx.
And a remake is completely different to a sequel.
Comparison to activision, however, is much more understandable.
