Both. Today Xbox 360 and PS3 was arround 1.3 million in Australia  plus New Zealand... and PS3 is selling much better than 360.

That is 1.1 million not 1.3mil. You don't live here so you don't really have a close input about what goes on here. There is no chance 200k will be caught up by Sony in aspect of Kinect's popularity down here.

Key Point you are wrong, stick with Brazil.

Both console sold arround 1.3 million in Australia and New Zealand... so the difference is less than 50k... and Sony will catch that this quarter... face it.

PS3 sells better than the 360 in Australia.

The problem that your comment had, was that you pointed to a bit of info that says 1.1 million in australia.  So, when you keep saying 1.3M it sounds wrong.  Clarify that and it might make sense.

Ok... by GFK.

PS3 Australia (2010): 1.1m

PS3 Australia (2009): 783k
PS3 Australia (2009): 814k

PS3 (2010) > 360 (2010)  in Australia so PS3 sold  317k in 2010... in the best case 360 sold 300k.

360 Australia (2010): 1.1m (estimated)

So this quarter 360 will outsell 360 in Australia.

PS3 New Zealand (2009): 117k
360 New Zealand (2009): 140k

Extrapoling to 2010...

PS3 New Zealand (2010): 150k (estimated)
360 New Zealand (2010): 180k (estimated)

So Australia and  New Zealand has both consoles arround 1.3 million now... and PS3 sold more in 2010... so will be the same in 2011 IMO.

Bolded and underlined. No need to clarify, it's obvious.

Both consoles sold near 1.3  million in Australia plus New Zealand... 1.1 million is just for Australia.

There are nothing wrong with my statement.

He is downplaying the 360 as he always does that is why I have finished the topic. Ethomaz is wrong but he will never admit it. Somehow he allows for shipment of other consoles but when it comes to 360 we will go by approximate numbers. Lets not mention that maybe if other consoles are undertracked else where maybe just maybe 360 could be as well. But Ethomaz does not allow this.

Hence the topic is boring.

Simple math: if those 537k were all sold in 2009, then the 360 would be at 1181k (because 537k plus 20% = 644k). But it sold less than 537k in 2009 (because some units were sold in 2008 and 2007), so it is lower than 1.2 millions.

360 sold 537k in launch to 2009,and 2010 sales more than 2009 20%

Ok. Let's me show to you.

1. Data from GFK (End of 2009).

360: 814,261
PS3: 783,189

Link: http://gamrconnect.vgchartz.com/thread.php?id=107096

2. Data from GFK (End of 2010).

PS3: 1.1m

Plus: According to Sony, the PS3 dominated local hardware sales, making up 26.5 percent of all console sales in the region last year--the highest percentage share of any manufacturer.

So PS3 was the best selling console in Australia in 2010.

Link: http://gamrconnect.vgchartz.com/thread.php?id=124294

3. Making maths.

PS3: 1.1m (2010) - 783k (2009) = 317k sold in 2010

360 sold less than top console (PS3)... less than 317k... so 300k I presume (I'm a bit optimistic).

360: 814k plus 300k = 1.1 million

The only little error here is the fact PS3 was the best selling console in Australia in 2010... and it sold ~320k (317k)... so 360 sold less than 332k, less than 320k.

Your and my maths are the same...that's the only little difference (PS3 > 360 in 2010 AU).

Edit - Just for clarify.

"Following the iGEA's announcement, Sony and Microsoft both used the opportunity to reveal their respective positions during 2010. Since its launch in 2007, the PlayStation 3 has sold more than 1.1 million consoles in Australia, according to industry trackers GfK Australia. According to Sony, the PS3 dominated local hardware sales, making up 26.5 percent of all console sales in the region last year--the highest percentage share of any manufacturer."

do you think PS3 can sell more than DS(end of 2009=2571381 in 2010?if yes, whatever

if not,i don't think 26.5% can be best selling CONSOLE(Wii 360 PS3 PS2)

in the end, read this again,i get it,will you?
