Forums - Gaming - Treyarch: There are no 'bug free' games

I just wanted to give a shout out to Dead Space 2. That game is bloody flawless, I'm actually struggling to find any sort of technical issue at all and so far I've been blown away by how clean the game is. Those Visceral guys could probably teach a few tricks to Treyarch on how to make the perfect game.

Bet with Conegamer and AussieGecko that the PS3 will have more exclusives in 2011 than the Wii or 360... or something.

All games do have bugs, but this is the type of thing you say if your games are full of them.  Developers with relatively bug free games don't say this sort of thing.

Michael Jordan never said that all players have bad games even though they do.  He left this sort of this to guys like Latrell Sprewell.  Treyarch is Latrell Sprewell and that guy actually choked his head coach once during a practice.

I'd keep on eye on Treyarch if I were you guys.

They need to take notes from games like Mario Galaxy, Metal Gear, and even Halo. At least they don't let the more noticable bugs get away. Other dev. never attack the issues their games experience; they always try to cover up thier problems and messes with more and more patches. It be better off just re-releasing the game after its been fixed. That way the issue is fixed permanently.

What would happen if somebody 10/20 years from now, manages to find an old copy of on of their games but their 360 or PS3 is brand new with none of the updates that person would be plagued with all kinds of problems.

All exclusives.  Go figure.

Then how about Soulcalibur, MK vs DC Universe, and Dead Space

sure...i'll agree with you treyarch, however.... your games, for what they are, have an especially high amount of them.

The point I was trying to make was that when you spend the time to make something right, you spend the time to make something right.  Normally, exclusives are given the attention of developing for just one console which helps guarantee a better "bug free" game.  But yes, I agree that multi-platform games can be give the attention they need.  It's just take a little more effort that I think Treyarch is making excuses for not doing so.
