I'd recommend getting hold of the Tekken 6 arcade stick bundle if you can. Just picked one up myself a few days ago here in the uk for £35 new. So far i've had no problems with the stick and its totally adequate for casual gaming.

Thanks for the advice all, I think I'm going to go ahead and get the Tekken bundle since it's cheaper ($60), getting good reviews, and I can trade Tekken 6 in for another $10.

The tekken bundle is decent for casual gaming, but if you go beyond that I would still look into a TE. From what I read the Tekken stick does break down quickly over time and the buttons aren't as responsive as a TE - then again the price is a lot cheaper so It's to be expected.

Also the stick your borrowing is fine, if I remember correctly the white colors buttons above the  colored buttons have RT or LT or something along that extent so you can use them for attacks. Just map those buttons to a uncommon LP LK or something you won't use often as it would be awkward to hit those buttons a lot. Hope that makes sense.

Heh, so my wife is pretty awesome.  She asked what I wanted for Valentine's day and she happened to ask when I was reading this thread.  I jokingly said this and she ordered it right there. 

This is a good and bad thing.  It's good because I should be getting it the 15th and it's an awesome fight stick, it's bad because now I have to find something for her to compare to it.

Sorry to say this dude but it looks like you're getting ripped off.  That's the round 1 fight sticks, get the round 2 fight sticks for that price.  Like the stick's fine but it shouldn't cost that much still.

They don't have any of the round 2 360 joysticks, but they have the new MvsC3 one for $159(ships 2/15) and the SFIV one for $149. Shipping isn't too bad and they have sales tax in only 3 states. I'd probably get one myself if I was still in the US, but buying them imported is very costly. It'd be around $200 with shipping to buy a plain vanilla TE stick! Plus I already have a PS2 joystick the HRAP 2 SA (with Sanwa parts like the TE sticks) which I use on my 360 with an adapter (xfps 3 sniper plus).

I was thinking about buying a dedicated 360 stick though, specifically this Amazon JP limited edition HRAP VX SE ( http://www.4gamer.net/games/027/G002741/20100930022/ ) which has all Seimitsu parts (better for shooting games/shmups which I want!). (SA version of the stick has Sanwa parts and is a different color)
