I feel trolled.  Miyazaki = Hayao Miyazaki.  Any other Miyazaki should have their full name stated.

He's pretty much a legend in animated films, and well respected by cinema in general.  He's recieved an Academy Award, numerous Japanese awards, and anyone who's watched a few of his films know he's special.

This is especially true in our demographic (video game enthusiasts), as there is a high correlation between enjoying video games and enjoying animated films.  There have been multiple threads on this site along the lines of "What is your favorite Miyazaki movie" over the years.  If you don't believe me just check out some of the replies in this thread expressing confusion.

@leatherhat: Did you really just compare a video game to movies?  I think Demon's Souls is amazing, but to compare it to a movie is stupid.  Demon's Souls hardly even has a story (not a negative by any means).  Nonetheless, many of Miyazaki's works are hailed as some of the best animated films of all time, and are also in the conversation for best films of all time (2 show up in Roger Ebert's 100 Best Movies of all time, for example).  Demon's Souls, while a great game, isn't generally brought up in a list of greatest games of all times.  It's also a single game vs. a whole library of films that have met critical and commercial success.

Yeah, sorry, I forgot you were the definitive source on everything.  You've already demonstrated your incredible ability to critically analyze with your movies vs. games apple to oranges comparison.  Let's add to that the fact that you admitted you don't even like movies, and I'm willing to bet have never set through an entire Miyazaki movie.  You're really helping your own point.

Regardless, Hayao Miyazaki = well know creator of movies who's beloved within circles such as this (video game enthusiasts).  HIdetaka doesn't even have his own Wikipedia entry.  Mentioning "Miyazaki" in the title and then talking about the Demon's Souls creator is comparable to making a thread entitled "NEW GT GAME ANNOUNCED!" and then it being about this series.
