how can the story for killzone 3 be worse than kz2 when that game didn even have a story line much

KZ3 has like 70 mins of cut scenes

Looks like it will do significantly worse than KZ2

A little worse - perhaps. Significantly worse - doubt it.

I would say that 4-5 points is pretty significant

i wouldn't that isn't even half a point on many review sites

most review sites have actually explained why the scores are the way they are. I don't think the guy who did the review on 1up even really played the game as he says so many things in the review that are just incorrect. based on how the current ign is now i expect them to give most ps3 sequels lower score than the previous game to downplay the strong ps3 year. that is how they are now. i noticed this ever since the Medal of Honor review.

Metacritic scores

black ops - 88 (ps3?) 87 (360?) for being the same exact shit for 3 years now

killzone 3 - 88 for being a super huge improvement over the previous installment

Wtf? am i missing something here?

LOL get used to it.

these days games that are utter shit scores high soley cause of hype.

GTA4 and COD are prime examples of this.

anyone else playing with the Move?

what do u guys think of it. i think it works great. it needs some time to get used to, but after a few bot games, i got the hang of it.

I just played the beta with the move. It's very responsive, I didn't notice any lag with the pointer. It's easy to aim with your hand resting on your leg. It doesn't have the problem the conduit had on the wii where if you turn to far the controller is out of view, you can turn the move 90 degrees for quick turning. But turning still feels akward this way, not any better then using an analog stick to turn. Only now you have to point back to the center when you're done turning. You can set the deadzone and turn speed but it never comes close to the accuracy and speed a mouse will give you.

I can see it's great for campers and sniping, not so much for hectic run and gun gameplay. I hope the multiplayer doesn't turn into arenas full of pinpoint accurate snipers everywhere.

The only reviews worth reading are Destructoid and PSU, the rest are lacking in detail and or bullshit. Killzone 2 has one of the best FPS campaigns I've played but with Killzone 3 there has been much more improvement on story telling, acting, and character, it sounds like there might be a bad decision or two in Killzone 3 but rarely does any game not have it's flaws in the campaign, so to say the story isn't good is ridiculous considering how much effort their is. So maybe you don't like the campaign that much, barely any reviews have showed appreciation for Killzone 3's awesome multiplayer. They haven't factored in the ability to play with the Move and Shartshooter motion controllers either, hence why the majority are bullshit.

This game could get a 1.5/10 and I would still probably like it better than 99.9999% of FPS games on the market

yes totally agree with Wagram, reviews are just how the way those people rate the game, its just a reference for consumers other then that, its totally nothing important at all as long as we like it ourselves, come on gamers, just think about it yourself, why are you letting these people controlling your gaming experience from their own opinion, just who the hell are they, right?? even they are experts or whatever, but games are made for us to play and not for them to rate it ok...

Common points seems to be.... campaign is a big disappointment and they have buggered about with the multiplayer too much.

I wont be getting this, it needed to be significantly better than KZ2 in the campaign to tempt me.

thank you for your contributions. like anyone actually thought you were going to get this game anyway or say positive things about it.

by the way the multiplayer is awesome, very killzone like (they havent deviated much, still not copying COD)

and by the looks of it, the campain is very fun, its the story thats lacking, but really what FPS has a great story.

i give its multiplayer (with Move) 10/10

Interesting thing is, most reviews weren't actually disappointed with campaign (some going as far as championing it's new features, visuals, and split-screen). Key websites did seem disappointed by it, but the vast majority were happy with it. Listening to the reviews as a whole, even the more critical ones, they all agree that it's a better game than KZ2. For those that care for reviews, that should be good news. For me, it didn't matter either way, because I'm a fairly big Killzone fan.

Basically, the game's biggest issue is what happened with many recent sequels, it's freshness wares off, and despite being a better product than the previous game, it didn't make the same splash (Halo: Reach, LBP2, Black Ops [though not really a sequel]).

true and im also tired of sites like ign.com not even testing the move controls for any extended period of time.

after a few botzone matches and some setting tweaks, i quickly became proficient with the move, and i now preform very adaquetly in real multiplayer (1.8 KD)
