they cried about the controls in kz2, that has been fixed, how is it the same?  

A sequel should be more than just fixing the problems of the previous game, that is if it wants to score big.

 That's the thing, 90% of the reviews are saying it offers way more, the 3 or 4 reviews that gave it 7 are whining about the story.

In my professional oppinion:

Graphics are no different from KZ2

Controls are no different from KZ2 (KZ2's got patched after release)

Al lot of other things have been slightly changed but not for the better.

This is the biggest issue. Reviewers are saying it's better in just about every way, yet rate it lower. I don't mind the numbers as they are, but consistency is key, and appreciated. That's why we should do away with numeric reviews and have them only worded instead, because it comes off as the number > the actual worded review, which is a shame.


I think reviewers are giving lower scores period to most games unless its heavyly hyped. Black ops got lower scores that mwf2 although many fans say it's better. Dead space 2 is in the 80"s as well although better. I actually don't mind but the excuses are plain stupid though.

Clearly? You must of played through it a few times, right? No way you could be making such a bold statment off a beta.

I'm having more fun with the beta than I ever did with Killzone 2. And from what I've seen of the single player I can already conclude that it's an improvement. There was nothing in KZ2 as interesting as the Helghan jungle, jumping from iceberg to iceberg in a raging sea using a jetpack and that massive mech fight that's been teased. As long as there's running and shooting in between all that with prettier graphics and much tighter controls, I see no possible way it could be worse than KZ2's campaign.

Did you play the full title?

I have a hard time believing the visuals are no different, especially when nearly every review says something to the contrary. Not trying to call you a liar, but I seriously have doubt there. And for the controls, again, everyone says they're better: "significant improvement".

Don't worry, he is just crazy and i am not afraid to say that he is lying lol. The explosions and the animations are way better.

Professional reviews shouldn't ever get low scores because they aren't someone's cup of tea. That's how you know which sites are crap.

You've got to be kidding me right? The controls have improved dramatically. It still has that weighty feel that we all love about the franchise, but Guerilla definitely got rid of the input lag that was visible in KZ2. Anyone that deny's this is in complete denial. Even after the patch in KZ2, the controls were still sluggish and not fun to use in multiplayer.

In MY opinion, the framerate has been improved, the stability for mp is great now, it's much better, and faster, getting into a match. Killzone 3 is just an overall huge improvement over the second game in every way imaginable.

I agree with the post above.

Killzone 3, based off a fucking beta, is my favourite FPS of all time. Graphics are the best to date on consoles and the only real competition I SEE (IMO) is Uncharted 3 & Rage.
