You cant customize it before missions. It doesn't allow you. Do you know any other way?

As far as I know, you can't customize it at all. But when you're picking your squad, you can push triangle to change their outfits if they're loyal. Seems to be an aesthetic thing only, though.

Right.  I believe it was a victim of the streamlining that they did with the sequel.  I personally didn't miss it that much because ultimately it was a lot of micromanaging in the last game that slowed things down a lot with tons of armor, weapons, etc that you never, ever use.

Yeah, agreed. I was a little nervous about ME2 because of all the bitching I'd heard. "hurrrr its just a fucken shooter now" and all that. But I really like what they did. The inventory in the first game was seriously unwieldy. And researching shit is pretty cool!

It was in a thread last year on PC exclusives and shio listed Mirror's Edge (I think) because it was a "2010 exclusive."  A bunch of people called him out on it and he eventually backed down, but not without tons of bitching about it...
