Well, it would seem that you answered your very own question right there since that is precisely what neoconservatives are concerned about. There are Western values besides democracy, you know. Like pluralism. The Copts are worried about living in a post-Mubarak Egypt, and with good reason. There's certainly a case to be made that Obama is the one who "lost Egypt". According to Pew, America's approval rating in Egypt is roughly half what it was during the Bush administration. |
LOL, who cares about facts?

And pluralism, do you know the definition of pluralism?
Pluralism - A condition in which numerous distinct ethnic, religious, or cultural groups are present and tolerated within a society. The belief that such a condition is desirable or socially beneficial.

Not exactly what comes to mind when conservatives talk about their policies.

Er, yeah. You might want to try something a little more recent.
I'm really not interested in debating pluralism and American conservatism with you in light of the fact that your every expressed belief about the latter has been stupid as fuck.

Very much like that, only with a little less whistling and a whole lot more vigorous butt pounding.
From what I have seen, few people are worried about Egypt becoming a liberal democracy; what they are worried about is Egypt ending up with a regime that is worse than their current government for both the people of Egypt and the western world.
From everything i've seen... all of the Bush advisors have been bashing Obama from their very beggining for not getting behind Egypt like Bush would have... as could be seen by Bush's support of elections in Gaza even though Hamas was the likely winner. (and did win.)
Everything i've seen from actual neo-con politicians... rather then you know... just journalism has been more of a "wait and see" approach so they know which side of Obama's weird half and half stance to grill.
If Democracy prevails it will be "Obama didn't rush too it quick enough."
If a dictatorship takes over it will be "Obama was hesitant then gave in to his liberal ideals over realism and didn't see that obviously he was just going to be replaced by a dictator."

Perhaps this would better explain how the actual polticians are reacting Richard.

Its a very sensible reservation to have. Democracy is of course something I support, but in areas of the world that may not be as willing to support the separation of church and state, the existence of religious or non-religious minorites etc, can of course have such revolutions turn out worse then before. Revolutions don't always go in a good direction. But atleast if the people vote for tyrranical and theocratic people that'll be their choice. Without change nothing positive can happen, but you have to take the risk of the negative aswell. Hence the resevations that many people I've talked to seem to have.
This of course says nothing about how inspirational this display of people power is.

Every viewpoint you have is border line retarded. I will give you credit, atleast you are able to form letters into meanging, though there are some chimpazees thatcapable of that.
You do, however, have reading problems since you didn't bother (or can't) read the article you linked to. From Bush years, Egyptian approval rating within margin of error, Egyptian view of American image is within margin of error, Egyptian view of the American people is up, Egyptian Muslim's view of Americans within margin of error, Muslims concern that America is a threat is down, and Egyptians wanting America to lead the fight on terror within margin of error.
Like I said, border line retarded.
