Sony unveils Satin Silver PS3 for Japan

Sony Japan’s announced that a swanky Satin Silver PS3 will be released in the region on March 10.

Available on limited release only, the console will be up for grabs as a 160GB or 320GB model, priced at ¥29,980 and ¥34,980, respectively.

As per usual, both SKUs will pack in the usual bits and pieces, including a DualShock 3, power cord, AV cable and USB cable. Sony will also make available a Satin Silver stand for ¥2,000 on the same day.

March marks a fairy significant month for SCEJ, with heavy hitters Dynasty Warriors 7, MotorStorm 3 and Yakuza: Of the End all due for release.

hmmm...looks cool, but I'm not feeling the color choice that much, but hope it gets some love in Japan

I'm not a fan of silver electronics (yes, that is important to me), but I see the PS3 getting a boost in japan because of this.

am i the only one who thinks it looks bad :/ White PS3 was sexy though :)

MEH! black is generic! My PS3 is a silver one.

For me as long as my PS3's color is not a common color or a unique one  I am happy. 

So far this is the greatest PS3 unit I have seen so far!!!

its funny that here in Chile they have been selling the silver satin since november..., still i think i prefer black

Lucky ass Japanese....That's a sick looking console. 

The Limited edition Yakuza white PS3 is still the nicest one I've seen.
