I got more excitment playing Call of Duty

And I LOVE PORTAL 1/2

IS UNIQUE THERE AREN'T MORE THAN 3 GAMES WITH PORTALS, BUT FOR FIRING GUNS I CAN CHOOSE FROM MILLIONS.

AND I DON'T GO TO WEBSITES SAYING PORTAL IS GREAT AND BECAUSE OF INNOCENT PEOPLES WHO JUST LIKE PLAYING A GAME THEY LIKE.

I enjoyed the Portal Games but don't want a Portal 3 though. A new Half Life (episode) would be aweseome but at this point I prefer a full 15-20 hour long game than an episode that only take a few hours to beat.

Seriously? In my opinion Portal 2 is better then HL will ever NEARLY be.

P2 is way more famous then "HL"

Anyway, Portal 2 has DEEP plot, the most important part, of a game. Psychological amazment, Great DLC and extras I bet. Amazing characters, story, all that. And beautiful, rich, intoxicating gameplay.

"Ohh I can make gravity move" Guess what, me too? I can drop and pick up stuff!" Can I make a fucking portal, I think not. Games are supposed to be about things you can't do. And don't say "But you see HL is deeper then that" well maybe it is, I'm jus' sayin.

I could rant on, but I've made my point. I love other replys too.

Also yes HL3 should come. Because that is fair to the other fans. But then. Portal3 fosho.

So I made an account just to tell how moot your arguement is. I'm not going to discuss your opinion of Portal as a game, because you are entitled to that. But, saying Portal's success has delayed HL's development is untrue. Portal and Half-Life are handled by two differant dev teams within Valve. Now here's a thought. As Portal is set in the same universe, a sort of spin-off, maybe Valve felt this story needed to be told before we get to Episode 3 or rather, Gabe willing, HL3. So lets all calm down, enjoy what we have now, and shit brix when HL:E3/3 is released.

ok, why are you hating on Portal, Killana1a?  Sure, it was a very short game, but it was meant as a trial.  It was the CONCEPT that was so cool.  And now, you are BLAMING us "Portal Lovers" for getting Valve to make an awesome game!  Honestly, I think that just Portal is better than Half Life 2.  AND, hypocrit, WHY DON'T YOU hate on Portal 1&2 in your diary instead of on blogs and forums?  ISN'T THAT THE SAME THING?!  Why don't you shut up with your hating of perfectly fine games?  Its not just a game that opens holes in walls, it is hard, it has a great storyline (even 1), it is everything that should be in a game.  I honestly have no problem with having 100 Portal games out before HL3.  It is ten times the game HL2 will ever be...

No doubt HL3 has been redesigned a dozen times like TF2.

Afterall they have a whole new design philosophy to cram into it.

The Halflife series is essentially where valve "was" and not where valve wants to be seeing single player games like it as the past... because in the new digital world you don't provide games as products... but games as services.

Who is going to buy hat's for Godron Freeman if nobody can see them?

EDITL Oh, and in no way am I slamming Valve with that comment, though that's exactly how such a comment slamming valve would go.  I actually think they're correct in their new design philosphy.
