NOOOOOOOOOOO

That would suck and I wouldn't want pokemon after that.

Is having 3D graphics and non-GB quality sound really that bad?

3D pokemon games have sucked, plus they look awful. So yes

They've moreso sucked because they don't follow the traditional Pokemon gameplay style, not necessarily because they're in 3D. But whatever floats your boat.

With nintendo I never trust when they do something new, I've been disappointed before.

playing right now: Xenoblade Chronicles

Hype-o-meter, from least to most hyped:  the Last Story, Twisted Metal, Mass Effect 3, Final Fantasy XIII-2, Final Fantasy Versus XIII, Playstation ViTA

bet with Mordred11 that Rage will look better on Xbox 360.

Honestly I know why GameFreak developed Black and White for DS instead of 3DS. The team is ill-equiped to do 3D the staff would need to be trained in 3D. Thus they used sprites like they always have, they are a great 2D company but they lack the experiance with 3D and the educated staff to do anything other then a DS game.

Remember Brownie Brown or how about Sakamoto's team, they were trained and specialize in 2D games. Both teams have to work with more experianced teams to develop 3D titles. Nintendo has several 2D only teams and that is a major disadvantage with 2D aging.

My bet is Nintendo will take staff from Genius Sonority and Pokemon company and ask that they be brought into GameFreak. If GameFreak doesn't hire from outside it may send staff to be trained in 3D, or maybe the Pokemon game on 3DS will be just like Black and White 3Desque enviroments made of sprites.

As for the anime sounds over the growls. I don't think GameFreak wanted the Pokemon to all speak their names. Pikachu saying "Pika Pika" was probably not their intentions. Note Nintendo themselves did not make the anime or the growls. I bet GameFreak wants to stick to their origional vision which was to have unique growls and not name calling.

Perhaps, but whatever the reason was, it was good. It's already acheived around 5million sales, only in Japan, so Pokemon is hardly "dead" now is it?

Also, what is this "Genius Sonority" thing anyway?

When did I say Pokemon was dead or near death. You'd have to be a moron to think Nintendo would ever let Pokemon die. I said that GameFreak would have to hire 3D efficient staff if they are to make a truly 3D Pokemon title for the 3DS.

I put fourth two options.

#1. GameFreak hires additional staff maybe merges or takes staff from Genius Sonority. Either way GameFreak doesn't currently have the staff to make a true 3D Pokemon game.

#2. GameFreak may stick to 2D using layers to give a 3Desque experiance but remaining using sprites and few polygons.

P.S- How does a Pokemon fan not know Genius Sonority? They made Colloseum and XD the two best Pokemon games on home consoles.

an full RPG in Black/White style for 3DS and Wii would probably increase both hardware sales, but only if it's a classic pokemon game, not a spin-off like Colosseum

No doubt about it, but don't knock Colossuem

I'M SORRY! I didn't know that Activision now owns Crash and Spyro, I didn't follow my game developers up until last year, but, out of your 2 options, number 1 is the better option

It's pretty obvious. The new Pokemon gen introduced in Black/White needs a Stadium spinoff. So it's only natural that the Wii get's another Pokemon title.
