Hooray for the most misconstrued set of words this generation.  Whenever I get the 3DS, I'll be playing bomberman hardcore.

Come in for a hug. All Bomberman fans hug.

OT: It's both, and anyone that says anything else probably doesn't have the whole picture.....

Both stupid words but if you insisted on using them there should have been a 'both' option.  You are not the first at fault in this regard though, there has been a mountain of similar polls lately which I haven't voted in simply because they only present either/or options.

I'll be interested to see how 'serious' the 3rd party support is for the 3DS once the NGP launches.

You know which console last launched first coming off a winning generation and with weaker specs than the competition?

The Playstation 2.

Did that particular console have issues with third party support?

I see the 3D being far more of a core handheld platform, and sales will suffer as a result, at least in comparison to the original DS. There will be a huge chunk of DS owners of the expanded audience who will stick with that platform and won't feel the need to buy a DS. However, the 3DS I think will have better third party support and a stronger lineup of core games, which will offset some of that.

Hardcore. Nintendo's pushing of the 3D graphics make it so. A casual approach would have been to highlight the software above the hardware aspects.

it has an amazing hardcore line up, but everytime i think ds i think casual :P

Being in 3rd place never felt so good

uhhhh.. is their a multiple choice? i say Both

To be honest I think Nintendo is targetting the hardcore market with the 3DS. However they are trying to maintain the casual market they built. I think 3DS is both a hardcore machine and casual. As I told Gilgamesh on the Sony board sparking this thread.

I think in the end the 3DS is no less hardcore then NGP, nor is it any less casual then its prediscessor DS. Nintendo is merging hardcore and casual markets into a device that has content for both types of gamers. I think the software speaks for itself the Nintendo 3DS is definatly hardcore, but it also shows that it is casual.

Things aren't always black and white (Casual or Hardcore). On a side note I think this poll proves my point that the VGChartz community really does consider the 3DS a hardcore machine, while they also consider it casual. Which is inline with what Nintendo is doing.

Nintendo clearly choose I high-end route this time to satisfy the core gamer, what will ultimately doom the 3DS unless the 3DS Lite can fix the problems the current model has (including price) and release bridge games like 2D Mario (after NSMB Wii 2 is launched of course) and more expanded audience game.

Above: still the best game of the year.

How about none. Those 2 words are misleading porn words that shouldn't be used in videogame discussion period.
