It's an obvios place holder. Sony has refused to give the price. According to analists and common sense it will be around $250-$300 price mark. We'll just have to wait until E3 comes by! (too far away!!)

The same analysts and common sense that thought the PS3 would launch at $300 to $400? The same analysts and common sense that predicted that the PS3 would dominate even after Sony announced the $600 launch price?

Personally, I would bet on $350 to $400; and Sony (potentially) is justifying the price because you would spend more than that if you bought a 3DS and iPod touch ...

Imo more than 3DS but less than $400. Unless Sony are prepared to take massive double digit loss on each hardware, or even triple. After all, so many fancy components and stuff!

Price is surely a fake, if the entry price was 999.99 I am pretty sure quite alot of even the biggest Sony fangirls/boys would boycott it.

We should trust Gamestop since they were right about the price when they did the preorder for Kinect before MS mentioned the actual price.........

GS is now taking pre-orders for $299 with a $50 deposit.

Regarding the original listing; GS was also taking early pre-orders on the 3DS for $999.99 before the unofficial word of $249 became all but confirmed.
