The same analysts and common sense that thought the PS3 would launch at $300 to $400? The same analysts and common sense that predicted that the PS3 would dominate even after Sony announced the $600 launch price?
Personally, I would bet on $350 to $400; and Sony (potentially) is justifying the price because you would spend more than that if you bought a 3DS and iPod touch ...
