Fellow Canadians, it has come to my attention that Bell, Rogers, Shaw and everyone else is about to be able to decide how they're going to charge us for how much internet we use. What does this mean? It means they're going to start charging us by the gigabyte instead of giving us our monthly usage. Internet is going to be regressing back to the phone age where they charged by the minute. You may think this doesn't affect you, but try watching a netflix movie or playing online and you'll see how quickly your bill rises. We have to get into contact with our local MPs; email them, call them, send them letters, and let them know what's happening is against publich interest and affects everyone in Canada. How did this happen? The CRTC which was designed to protect its citizens from the wrath of these big companies are giving in, probably paid off by the big telecom companies. This new per usage billing will effectively give Rogers and Bell a monopoly on internet. They'll be able to nickle and dime us even more than before and they'll be able to nickle and dime the other companies that are forced to use their infastructor which will lead to a non-competitve rates by everyone.
Here's information on the CRTC and who are their executives:

Get into contact with your local MPs and let them know that this per usage billing doesn't help the consumers but only helps the big corporations.
