Forums - Gaming - Tales of Graces F all but confirmed for the West

This is likely not a fake. As you all may know, a member of Namco Bandai released a hidden puzzle yesterday with him saying it would lead to a big surprise. The puzzle was solved and what we got was this:

http://ataleoftworichards.com/

And from there, we are lead to a website that shows the image seen in the OP.

does anyone understand the meaning of the URL?

"a tale of two richards" ?

EDIT: so apparently there is a character by the name of Richard which is seen twice in the TOG story. Once when he's young, and the other when he's old. so I guess, confirmation confirmed

Hopefully it releases on both platforms!

Until you've played it, every game is a system seller!

It will be interesting to see what happens. I guess they don't want to release Vesperia for the PS3 since It's so off in the future now since It's release.

The last Tales game in the US did  129,806 (TOS: Dawn of a New World, Wii. I don't see EMEA numbers)

Tales of Vesperia did 97,856 in the US and 35,719 in EMEAA.

I still think their safest bet is to release on the Wii because we don't know how strong the US and EMEA PS3 numbers will be. They broke 100k in the US with the last tales game. It's a shame they won't match TOS Gamecube success level.

I'm gonna root for the Wii either way because I have no intentions of buy a PS3. I own a Wii which I buy a few games a year for it (this would be another one of them) and mainly game on the 360 (which I am sure won't see any more Tales games due to the lackluster Japanese sales for TOV and the Wii Tales game doing better).

where are those numbers coming from. vgchartz numbers say vesperia did over 200,000 in america.

Sometimes when I think about Graces I need to repel the urge of shedding anguished tears.

There was a rumor a few weeks ago, that only the Wii Version (with the extras of the PS3 version) will go west (because the sales of ToS:Dawn of the New World were okay in europe, but the sales of vesperia (xbox360) were horrible.)

Vesperia no, Graces F yes? WTF?

Who doesn't...

I'm not seeing the corrolation, but I do hope it does come westward.

GOTY Contestants this year: Dead Space 2, Dark Souls, Tales of Graces f. Everything else can suck it.

I'm assuming the justification is that Vesperia is already released in both Europe and NA on the 360.  The PS3 version's sales might suffer as many fans of the series/genre already have the game.  Graces/f on the other hand hasn't been launched in either Europe or NA for any platform.

I want Graces/f, Vesperia PS3 and Abyss 3D all to make it to Europe.
