I have assassins creed, They could have improved the graphics and Ai for both the X360 and ps3 versions. They just didnt have the extra year. Stilll though a great game.

graphics are "nice"? What does it take to get an awesome from you? I think if you like ac or not depends on the fact if you look at the things it does better than any other game or at the flaws. For example I thought the ai was more than ok for the game since I didn't try to pinpoint its flaws. When killing three enemies for an informant the difficulty was perfectly balanced for example. That they didn't balance all possible actions with little influence on story progression in this ambitious environment ... I can forgive that. It was great fun and I hope ubisoft Montreal also makes the next installement.

Quite odd indeed.

 I think a lot of it comes down to advertising and hype. In this way, these PS3 versions of multi-plats benefit from all of the hype and advertising the 360 versions also get.

Because sports games always have sales go way, way down after Christmas? The yearly franchises, I mean.

Yearly sports franchises like Madden, Fifa, PES, and NBA have the worst legs of any genre, by a wide margin. Unless the PS3 magically breaks all historical trends from the PS2/360/Xbox, that's what will happen.

I still think it's likely it will make 1 million -- I said that in my original post -- but people will be SHOCKED how much the sports game in particular plummet in sales at the beginning of new year.


 I actually agree with you on this, sports games plummet after XMas and then they have a price drop and they start selling decent again until the next release, it's a vicious cycle.

Still, I was interested in both Ratchet and Uncharted and the demos for both games pretty much killed that interest. Sad, in a way.


 *cough* Halo 3 *cough cough* anywho, I played the demos for Ratchet and Uncharted, and they did nothing but make me want both of them even more than I already did. Insomniac and Naughty Dog FTW!!!

I agree with you that MGS4 and GTA4 are almost guarenteed million sellers
but why the hell is everyone forgetting Killzone 2 ?!? I betcha it sells a million in 3 days flat. The first one sold a good 2 million, plus this one will have a lot more hype, so i can EASILY see it selling a million in first few days.

As an example to those saying uncharted & Ratchet won't make it, they should take a look at Saint's Row. Took a few good months for it to reach 1 mill. Uncharted & Ratchet got out just 2 months prior to December. Uncharted has been for like a month now lol. Doom and gloom comment should be forwarded till after 6 months have passed.
