There no where near the lowest  level of scum... unlike some fucked up pedo, hackers actually can have benefits to the world.

Stupeid hackcars are runinigg it 4 everione! Hackkers are liek "dude, lets hax this hardwear" and Ss is liek "no bro, aren't u LEGIATIME?" I want to play games but hackcars are horribel beacuz they meak people loose jawbs. If there are no jawbs, then whose going to make gamez? huh?! nobody, that's rite. We need to bring baek hanging for hackers cause they dew nothing!!

i dont see the problem here, they hackers actually are pretty useful. they show what can be done with hardware and they are intelligent enough to get around closed systems for their purposes. i even dont find pirating that bad, i also am in the camp that its effects are blown out of proportion. i would rather have people that hack and can do good with their hacks than have no hackers because some people use their work for pirating.

you do know that there are contests for hacking that offer prizes, right? overclocking competitions for PC parts allow for modification and hacking to improve performance, and there are Linux and other OS competitions that people, hack the general OSs and hardware to either find exploits and find ways to optimize hardware on each platform for money.

I find it funny how everyone started to hate on hackers when they broke the PS3 apart. Why didn't you hate on them when they hacked the Wii and the Xbox 360? And the PC for that matter?

people that are the lowest of scums for me are pirates. Hackers on the other hand, I don't mind. I don't know maybe I am just fascinated how tey can figure out how to bypass security. I guess hackers somewhat asie the bar for major companies. It would pressure the companies to put in more features so the hackers aren't tempted to hack. Either way i dont like pirates but hackers do benefit the world.

If we restrict ourselves to the subcategory of hackers who do it to steal other peoples' personal information then I wholeheartedly agree. 

If however, we are talking only about the group who modify their consoles and such (as referenced in the OP) then I disagree 100%  In fact, I echo the sentiments of ghost_of_fazz in that it's funny how only now that the PS3 is hacked as well are people stirring up shit about it.  Every other console community has dealt with it and is doing fine - the PS3 will as well.  Deal with it and grow up...

As for hackers, it doesn't really matter if they pirate a game, or a thousand games. It's just for the sake of entertainment.

And I'm sorry, WoW is a fantastic MMO. Much better than Star Trek Online, FFXIV, and other MMOs.
